Scott p3 2010 Model or Salomon Suspects

i have no idea about performance, but as far as durability goes definitely go to scott

salomon is notorious for having durability issues with their "new" line of park skis (since about 3 years ago?) i have a lot of friends that broke their suspects in 15 days or so... my vote is away from those

to make it even worse, at SIA salomon announced that suspects were unchanged for next year (minus the topsheet of course). that's intelligent, eh?

but, i hear the salomon 2012 could be delightful... haha, maybe look for some reviews on that. as far as i've heard so far they slay, but that's what everyone said when the OG suspects came out. they might be sick sticks, but check to make sure that they'll hold up more than a few weeks of riding.

yep, i was one of those kids that already had the treat of riding the 2012's. favorite ski ever, they straight up slayed.

unfortunatly, i have already destroyed my ar6s in half of a year (32 days or skiing to be exact), which were said to be bombproof. so most likely, im going to pick up some suspects for the rest of this year off of backcountry.com and test out salomons durability for myself and either way ill be exchanging them for the 2012's the day they drop.

to my knowledge, the suspects are a sick ski if/ before it breaks.

no they do not, thank god! so im thinking they may actually may hold up a little better now...hopefully at least.

thats why im buying off backcountry.com, the best return/exchange policy in the business. that way if i do break them, i can just get my money back from them and not have to deal with salomon's warranty

I won't ski ANYTHING Salomon other than bindings, so I can't comment on those, but I will say that the Scott is a fairly stiff ski - almost in the all-mt category.

SALOMON BINDINGS SUCK SOOOO MUCH don't even get me started.

aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

but, sth 16s are legit, and so are the s916s and bindings from previous years to those.

Hmmm... Well, I've never had a problem, and have mounted MANY Sali's, but everyone has their thing... I don't ride like the majority around here probably do...but anyway... Would it make you happier to know that I just got a couple pair of Tyrolia Peak 15's on the way? ;)

Yeah, both have pretty bad durability issues... I've seen both Suspects and P3s go down in less than a month (I personally witnessed one entire edge come off a pair of P3s after 5 days...) and unfortunately neither company has been stellar with their warranties, so it's pretty hard to pick one....
