this leads me to believe that racers need twins... weren't they made to hold an edge better originally anyways? that was a pretty brutski crash though.
 
from what we've heard, none. He was pretty banged up though. He should be getting a diagnosis tomorrow...at least that's what his family says. Everyone's pretty scared though...this dude needs to win, he's one of the few really chill racers.
 
he wears those really nice poc helmets. it shaturd on impact. with out it he would have died... pritty intense shit

im probally wronmg but im pretty sure poc helmets are suppesoed to blow apart like that to take some impact away.
 
I have heard that since there is not a solid point where the edge ends, the ski supposedly releases from turns more smoothly when it has a twin.

Is this what you are talking about?
 
yes you are right, poc's are great in bad crashes, and to the above post, twins are good for skiers like us, but there is obviously a reason they have not been used in racing...
 
HOLY SHIT. It doesn't even look like he went that big until they show that final angle. That guy is fucking flying! Jesus, I can't even begin to imagine how bad that must hurt, especially when he whips his head into the groud.
