On February 4-7, a group of aspiring photographers participated in the Scott Markewitz photography workshop at Snowbird. During the workshop, participants were able to gain experience and learn from Scott both on the hill and in the classroom.

The participants had the opportunity of shooting pro/am shreds such as Jenn Berg, Forrest Shearer, Ben Wheeler, Rick Wroblewski, Carlo Travarelli, and Caroline Gleich. They spent their days on the hill shooting these athletes and practicing many aspects of ski photography. In the afternoons and evenings Scott helped them to fine tune their photo editing and processing skills.

"It would have taken me several lifetimes to figure these things out on my own", said one participant.

I really dig 15, and I like everything about 25 except that it is a horizontal framing. I think a verticle orientation would have show the landing to give the drop some context while making the composition a little less awkward.
