Scott Jib vs K2 Domain

The domain is a jib destroyer with no camber under foot and rocker everywhere else with a noodle like flex. I wouldn't recommend them for jumps bigger than 30ft. If you mess up a little on your landing you are probably going to wash out as compared to a stiffer ski that would help you out a little. The edges are beefy on the domain. most companies use a 2.5m thick edge when k2 uses a 3m thick edge. The domain is also a symmetrical ski so its going to feel nice when riding switch. The domain dose use a extruded base which you will notice slowing you down.

The scott jib is cambered with early rise that you don't recognize. I just consider it as a full cambered ski. The jib is stiffer than the domain which will help on jumps a bit more than the domain. If you spend a extra 50 bucks for the tom wallnuts edition you get a race base which is totally worth it. The jib is much lighter than the domains but uses thinner edges so the jib should get edge cracks faster than the domains. The jib is slightly directional but I barely noticed any difficulty riding them switch.

Ya i can speak for the domains, they are the best ski ever for MY style of riding. I ski at a pretty small resort that has NO jumps a all, its all rails. This ski will crush the rails as the no camber will allow you to swap with ease and grip rails extremely well. Despite the extruded base, the ski goes pretty fast compared to other extruded bases it you keep them well maintained. I like to find a lot of trannys since our mountain doesn't have much as surface swap a ton, the domain provides all the requirements to do this exceptionally. I did hit some 40 ft jumps this year, and they held up pretty good despite the fact that they are straight noodles. So if you are looking for a ski to dick around on, get the domains!
 
The jibs will only be good for a season because they become dead(no camber left) after a few months of riding, and that is because they are competition skis. So if you want pretty good skis for one season then get the jibs, but if you want some good bombproof skis, then get the domains.
 
I should of been more patient with this thread, i bought the Jib's. My reasons being, I will only have them for one season and then i will sell them, they were £30 or $50 cheaper, I want to still be able to charge on groomers, there are a lot of jumps in Tignes/Val D'Isere. Thanks for all the help!
