****(WARNING REAL WAR FOOTAGE)****

Well my dad is military and he sent me a video of a Spectre C-130 gunship foiling a roadside ambush. Spectre gunships are large transport planes that are mounted with tons of firepower (40mm cannons [which are the ones in the video], a HOWITZER [which I have footage of on other videos] and various other machineguns) that fly 2.5 miles above the earth. They use thermal imaging to see the battlefield, the enemy can not see them or hear them untill its too late.

The insurgents were unloading Rpgs and setting up landmines to kill a convoy of American soliders as they approached on the road, the Spectre caught them in the act. Turn up the sound to listen to the Americans decyphering the scheme.

Ohh really? I have a few, I also have a video of U.s .50 cal sniper teams killing Iraqi/Afgani snipers. I couldnt believe the impact force of a 50cal sniper rifle, people were flying 50+ feet in the air when being hit.

this is going to sound like a really dumb question and it very well might be, but how do they get the camera to stay stationary like that when the plane is moving crazy fast?

 
they fly in a specific pattern, they circle the target at a pitch and the computer pretty much makes up for that and keeps it steady.

Seriously, I don't care if they deserve it, if you look at someone being shot to pieces and go "That was really sweet!" you've earned a few douchebag points from me. It isn't a movie, kids. So maybe while you're busy wowing at all the big guns and fun explosions, you could consider some of the consequences of using them... some of them are necessary, some are tragic, but if you start thinking that any of them are cool I have to say: congratulations, you're an asshole.

Well the way I look at it, those people were getting ready to kill people. So either way someone was going to die, whether it was them or our soliders. I am 20's something, and the only realization I've come to about the value of life, is there is very little in this world. I've seen lots of people come and go, people who didn't deserve to, people who did. I don't get off on a videos of people dying, but I do watch them. Sometimes they make me feel ill other times they don't. I am 22 years old, I've had a great life, if I die tonight, no regrets. I am on borrowed time as far as I'm concerned. There are children that die at a few weeks old. I've had a great shot at this so called life, I'm content.

I think I'm more facisnated by the military technology than I am the actual killing. I never watch the faces of death videos or any of that shit, but I do like watching live war footage. I shot an M-60 when I was 3 years old being held in my dads arms on "Field day" in Hawaii. I've been around guns/military all my life (mostly fascinated by aircraft). The technology is incredible, and saves a lot of lives by not only detering enemies in the first place, but by the precision minimizing collateral damage. When I graduted college if I'm done skiing and all that I'll prolly join the navy or airforce and try to fly.
