Scooter kids, I need help!

I know there are some younger folks here snaking lines at the skate park on scooters and I need your help. I'm shopping trick scooters for my kids and there are a million brands that all look the same and have the same specs. Kids are 7 and 10.

One of the neighbourhood kids has an Envy (the lowest model) and it seems cool but it's $160 which seems high. It's the right size for my daughter and a bit small for my son.

Please let me know what brands are good and relatively affordable so my kids can snake your lines at the park, just kidding they're learning park etiquette pretty well already. I have a $75 Amazon gift card I'd love to use on these.

To be clear, you want to use the Amazon gift card for advice on which scooter to buy? How will you be choosing which person’s advice will receive the gift card?

I dunno...nobody has given me any advice yet? You have a scooter?

Honestly I feel like just two razors would be the best bet for your kids.

They are super light, easy to bunny hop, and absorb the vibrations super well. I know you want a "trick scooter" But when I was 10 the razor was perfect for doing jumps off of curbs, attempting tail whips, going down hills. Also if they break they are easy to replace.

If I was shopping for a 10 yr old (I'm 15 so far from a parent though) I would get this

why scooters over a skate board? are you worried about their safety since skating is probably more dangerous?

We have some boards, one regular sized and one junior sized deck. They skate sometimes and no, I'm not overly concerned with their safety...they wear helmets.

Some of their friends have scooters and we're pretty supportive of activities that are outdoors and don't involve screens. I'd rather have them scootering down to the park or around the 'hood with friends than bugging me about playing video games basically. Also if we're taking the dog somewhere on foot it allows them to keep up a lot better or cover more ground before complaining about the distance.

Very true statement
