Scion Rail Jam Setup Ideas

So our mountain is holding the SCION JIB JAM December 19. Basically the Scion Rep and I came up with the name and now the park manager and I are trying to come up with a fun setup for the event.

The idea I had was we have a boneyard at our mountain. Basically my idea was to go back there and find junk yard items and convert them into bonks and jibs. The setup would have maybe 1 or two boxes maybe a flat/down box and a fdf box and a dfd rail and then 3/4 bonks (tires, corregated pipe, hood of a car something along those lines)

any ideas would help!

do it like the smith limo jam or something... drive an xb or something up onto the mountain and set some jib up over it...

for a railjam you need features people can trick off of. Flat down is the best with a large enough jump before it to disaster it. Like the red falt down rail at park city. I think wallisch rodeo'd onto it and in plenty of edits (hyphy) people do crazy disaster spins on them. Plus they are good for other tricks, switchups and pretzels like any rail. Down rails are also good because they have a lot of options for tricks. The beginning of the rail should be pretty low down with a big jump on with a lotta pop but still urban style (come from the side) so people can spin onto it. The end should be high up if possible for better spin tricks off. Overall the rail shouldn't be that steep. From there you can throw up whatever you want. An upstanding barrel can be pretty fun, but you need a jump before it with enough distance to aire it and tap it or cork/hand drag over it.

Junkyard jibs might seem cool but offer little options for sick tricks, huge liability, and can fuck up your skis pretty easily

The tire stuck in the ground at COP was hella fun for the end of the park in my opinion. Maybe put something similar at the top of a pyramid shaped feature so you can kinda boost into it and bonk/spin off of the tire. Would be pretty dope and less liability than something sharp and metal.

i think that if you could get a horizontal barrel jib at roundtop, it would make my day. i would also like to see a nice kicker. I might have my first day there on friday. i am planning to check out the comp, even if i don't end up skiing.

a horizontal barrel would still be cool.

otherwise there are no ends to the think you can set up. a think a rail set up at a 20-30 degree angle would be sweet. you might be able to find a substitute for the rail. some kind of pipe.

if roundtop could step up their park a little bit, i would MOST DEFINITELY pick them over whitetail or liberty. it's just that the jumps at white tail usually kill the ones at roundtop..imho.

Ok sounds fun. Should I get my tetanus shot before this "jib jam".

Im kind of looking forward to a fdf box being somewhere in roundtop. I also think a tire bonk would be fun maybe set up an old carhood for a ramp onto a box.

sounds like death to your p-tex..

maybe if they waxed it to Tennessee and back.

it would be sick to have a few REALLY intimidating features. to keep the gapers away
