WASHINGTON (AP)
-- Scientists say they are a step closer to developing materials that could render people and objects invisible.Researchers have demonstrated for the first time they were able to cloak three-dimensional objects using artificially engineered materials that redirect light around the objects.Previously, they only have been able to cloak very thin two-dimensional objects. The findings, by scientists at the University of California, Berkeley, are to be released later this week in the journals Nature and Science. The new work moves scientists a step closer to hiding people and objects from visible light, which could have broad applications, including military ones.Don't MissScientists set sights on invisibility cloaks[/list]People can see objects because they scatter the light that strikes them, reflecting some of it back to the eye.Cloaking uses materials, known as metamaterials, to deflect radar, light or other waves around an object.Metamaterials are mixtures of metal and circuit board materials such as ceramic, Teflon or fibre composite.[/b]

shits gonna change the way we fight wars...first the nuke...then invisible people hahah ohhhh shieeeet. its gonna be striaght up like Halo 3 when we got invisible people walking around shooting plasma guns.

I'm gonna be like a real-life Harry Potter. Minus all the magic and fighting and England and everything else.

magicians are gonna go outta buisiness.

i wanna buy one that fits over my car so i could drive as fast as i wanted

fuck that. You can just camp at sniper tower and nade spam BR1 and Sniper2 until it wear off. Not to mention you can just pick up OS and spray with your AR until you hit him if you see a red dot on your radar.
