Scientists move forward "doomsday" clock

shit is that bassed on how long we have been around or resently cause if its 7 min out of 2million years i think where good for now

if i saw that clock i would just push the hands to midnight. it's a pretty shitty concept though. kinda like the whole code red, code orange, code yellow stuff- stupid

i duno i really can see a doomsday actually happening. no i dont watch too much movies, but the idea is just believable in my mind

honestly who wants to die of old age. I want to go in an avalance, big flaming ball of fire, or take as many people with me as i can

My presumption is that humans are incapable of whiping out every last single human in a global catastrophe.

same here man, so what do they mean 7 minutes to midnight?how long is 7 minutes?420 seconds? we talkin human minutes?scientist minutes?kids imagination minutes wtf, fill me in someone

if its seven minutes until midnight, were all dead. they started this clcok during the cold war as a way of showing how close we are to wiping ourselves out. its serious shit, it usually sits at six o'clock, during the cuban missile crisis it was at ten minutes to midnight, get the picture? so if that article did indeed mean that were seven minutes to midnight its not a good thing. I'm sure what it meant tho is that they moved it foward seven minutes from where it was currently sitting, if so it's not good but no worries.

Not true.

(From the article)...

"It was as close as two minutes to midnight in 1953 following U.S. and Soviet hydrogen bomb tests, and as far away as 17 minutes to midnight in 1991 after the superpowers reached agreement on a nuclear arms reductions."

that's not news, it just trying to scare people. doomsday is going to happen after all of us are very very dead.
