Hey NS,I'm pretty screwed because my science fair partner just ditched me, the project's due in three weeks, and I have no idea what to do. So please post any good, not too hard project ideas. Also, I'm in grade 9 and I would prefer a project that involved surveying of some kind so I can make up the testing, For example testing people on a reflex test with a without caffeine (last years project)
+k for any ideasThanks

Test the symptoms of laced weed. We shall then sticky your findings to the forum. Therefore freaked out high kids can use the checklist to see whether its laced or just good shit. It will free up the forum more...

first of all, your partner probably ditched you because your a lazy ass who doesnt pull your weight. i told my circuits/computers as components partner that i was going to stop putting his name on my work if he didnt start working. i gave him two weeks and he didnt show up to 3/4 circuits labs and 2/4 computers as components labs or do any prelab or write up (i literally did every single lab by myself) during those two weeks. i told the TA for each class what was up and apparently this kid thought we were joking assumed that he was still getting credit for my work. his shitty test scores didnt help and he failed both classes. he is now on academic probation and likely to drop out of engineering. it sucks for him but tough shit. do your own work man. your starting off on the wrong foot man. especially for something as easy as 9th grade science fair. i mean how hard could it possibly be. and secondly, dont make up survey results. the whole point is so you learn and if you just make it up, whats the point. way too many people have that attitude today, and it is one of the reasons why so many good jobs end up over seas; because americans expect more money for less work. our educational system is a joke because people are lazy. end rant. just do the work man, your only cheating yourself if you dont

effect of music on plants. easy and took a kid to states the year i had science fair.

4 plants. one for rap, one for rock, one for reggae, and one with no music. (you can choose the genre, those are just examples)

and im sure you can find tons of stuff on whether or not music helps a plant grow on the interwebz.

plus it is super cheap, possibly free.

ahhh, i thought about it. i said 2/4 instead of 1/2 for a reason, i was stressing the fact that he went to 2 of 4, which is different than 1 of 2. numerically they are equivalent, yes, but in this situation i felt it was better this way.

Eh, not really the time or place. Definitely not saying I disagree, but for most high schoolers easier is better. Besides, if all of America starts thinking like this, it'll make getting a job for you more feasible.
Anyway, find something you're interested in science wise and shape a project out of it. Good fun.

Why don't you make a solar system using round objects and strings. That maybe common but, you can make it different if you use your great ideas. Anyway, science project is also a good idea to enhance students knowledge. The federal government thinks that the quality of math and science education can repair credit with the scientific community and improve US education with a few payday loans of sorts. In reality, it will take far longer to accomplish than they might think.

I did this in 8th grade and won, its easy as hell.

you buy pepsi or coke, and then you buy the walmart brand cola.

you blindfold people and ask them which tastes better. results should come out about even, mine came out with more people like the walmart brand.

then just write a little thing saying how brand names aren't better, they just cost more.

This is actually a great idea if you were to emphasize scientific theory and the fact you are doing a controlled test yada yada.
Although this is very basic science.........and nothing that indepth, so im not sure what your science fair is aiming for.
