I've been visiting my cousins out in C'eour d' Lane, Idaho for the past 3 summers, and we went up to Schweitzer resort the first time. I might visit there this coming winter, so i was wondering how the skiing was, and most of all what the park is like. Anybody ski there?

hmm, schweitz is good. there park is alright, kinda flat landings on stuff , and short landings, but I grew up skiing there and it def a good mountain to ski, and there are some sick skiiers there

I went for a weekend this year, and it was pretty good. Lots of fun terrain and it reminded me of tahoe cuz of the lake. I heard, sometimes it can get really foggy tho. but in general, the jumps in the park were pretty big and the terrain on the backside was money.

dont waste your time, schweitzer is terrible. they spend a lot of money on marketing to make it look way better than it really is. Save your time and money and use it at a plac like tamarack or sunvalley

ya i ski there, its pretty tight. the jumps were alright last year, not great though, but we have a pretty sick wallride, a lot of boxes like the flat down in yeah dude, and some pretty sick rails. and we have two new lifts to make it easier to lap the park.

I grew up skiing Schweitzer. I wouldn't give it up for anything. The terrain is sick and the people are super nice too (except the security). Sometimes the park isn't perfect, but when it is like that then there is so much other terrain to ski. There isn't a night life at all, unless you become friends with a local, then they can tell you where a house party is. It does get foggy, but so do other resorts. it isn't a common phenomenon. It is worth going to, but dont go there thinking that you will be skiing Aspen or Keystone or Whistler. It is a nice family resort.

haha the hater is back. Dont listen to this fool he dont know what hes talkin about.

Yes Schweitzer is good #3 treeskiing rated by freeskier and their park gets better every year. Hit it up but dont tell your friends cuz its no fun when its crowded

i skiied there for a week two seasons ago and loved it. it would been much more enjoyable had i not been riding on my only my t-halls and riding with the fam. we were going to buy a condo off of some friends who never used it but then that mudslide took out the red cricket....

It fucking sucks ass. never been so dissapointed at a ski resort and the park sucks so bad. Stay as far away from schweitzer as you can. And the cops there are really fucking gay!

Dude, bail on the schweitzer plan and hit up Silver Mountain. It has the longest gondola in North America. Its like 3 miles long or something. It takes almost a half an hour to get up. The town doesn't even get snow, and you can't even see the mountain from it. Other than the gondola, the skiing is mediocre at best but, but its worth it just for that gondala! It might even be closer to Cour d'Alene than schweitzer, but im not sure. I cant even spell Coer d'Alene. All I know is that gondola is sick.

i skied schweitzer a bunch last season, its pretty sweet, really good terrain especially after a good dump (skied two and a half feet last year on a weekday, best day of my life). For the money that is invested in the resort, it seems like they could have a better park, but overall a sweet place. if your in the area its definitely worth a trip

the cops and security were REALLY bad during stomp games in particular. it was unbelievable.

but i stand that the mountain is fun on good days (when its foggy, oh my). the park... not so much. What you see in yeah dude is not what you get. it usually has a couple good features, but yea. After seeing yeah dude, my gripes were only solidified, but that is on a completely unrelated subject.

I don't think the gondola takes quite that long. I remember doing laps in around half an hour or so on my bike up there this summer.

Eh, the flat down they always have, the c rail they have sometimes. The box on the shack is their park gem tho. jk. but its a pretty good park for the mts we got over here

I grew up riding Schweitzer. They have great terrain. Lots of good tree skiing, some fun chutes and drops. The park gets pretty good, especially later in the year when they have a lot of snow. Last year they really stepped up their park, had a pretty good jump line and some fun rails. Plus there was a fun step-up, wallride, etc. That was when I visited in January and I heard it got even better. Pretty good local crew too. It's definitely the best setup in the area. Silver is next best but still doesn't have what Schweitzer's got...
