Schools and their bullshit

So I was talking to this kid on my ski team and he got suspended from school for no reason. The choir had their christmas concert that they do every year, and like every year, everyone came wasted. Well this one kid decides to get belligerently drunk and was literally swaying and hiccuping on the stage during warmups or whatever they do. He got the teacher and consequently all the principals to notice, and got taken into a room, and then was dragged away by police, screaming the whole way. After he was gone, the teachers took my friend and another kid into a room and questioned them about how he got the alcohol etc. They were not drunk at all, had not even touched alcohol that night. Well the teachers suspected them of being drunk. The kids said go ahead and breathalize us, were not drunk. The Principal didn't have a breathalizer and the cops were gone. The next day at school the 2 kids went to the office to apologize for the way their friend had acted, and walked out with a 10 day suspension because they couldn't prove that they were not drunk. This is total bullshit because they wanted to be breathalized, and the fact that the school suspended them without evidence is complete bullshit.
 
i went on a trip w. my school to ecuador and we got drunk everynight and our host families complained about a few of us drinking alot but they couldnt prove it so we got off scott free, fun times i loved my host family though they were mad chill i was just sure to get fresh flowers every morning
 
dude they can't get away with shit like that, its against their rights. that won't last if they take the correct action.
 
you have to have a trail with the super attendand it your suspended for more then (3 days i think) cause of that innocent till proven guily they cant say that its cause they couldnt prove not being drunk so tell your friends to fight this shit
 
They got the penelty reduced down to 5 days I guess. He doesn't think its gunna be worth the appeal to the school board and all that shit since he has amazing grades and the suspension only gives him more xmas break and skiing time.
 
thats so lame... a bunch of kids at my school got busted for drinking (by the police, not the school) and all of us got kicked off of sports teams, I got booted out of National Honor Society, and kicked off my trip to Italy...schools are interferring with our home lives on a level never before seen...

Also how can they take away the "positives" (clubs, sports, etc.) wouldnt that only encourage drinking by giving us more free time and less support?
 
Yeah, Bozeman Highschool is so gay, might as well be middle school all over again.
 
KLD has a point if they can;'t prob it it is retarded, but if you do it, its your fault deal with the consequences. Don't drink till your old enough. The law is there for a reason/
 
Um they wouldnt have gotten an MIP in the first place, and this one kid actualy has like a 4.0 and not being able to make up assignments from that is gona kill his grades, so not fucking sweet.
 
Dude they both did, but I dont think it will even affect them. It was the 3 days before xmas break dude, and then some after break, they wont do shit in class.
 
They got suspended because they couldn't prove that they weren't drunk? Well that doesn't mean shit! Fuck that...that is stupid. Your school sounds retarded because they couldn't prove that they were drunk. I'm glad my school doesn't act like that.
 
wow, thats absolute malarky, they should definatly try to fight that, thats like pining a DUI on somone without testing first, they have no proof to prove that they were drinking so how can they expect them to have proof of not drinking
 
I'm pretty sure 5 day suspensions look shitty on college apps, but I have no idea really. I would fight that shit with a lawyer, no use getting fucked for doing nothing.
 
what is with american schools being such hard asses for drinking? kicked off of school teams for drinking is lame. in my canadian highschool no one gives a shit and the sports kids are the heaviest drinkers out of all of us.
 
I don't get this system, in Norway if I meet a teacher while I'm drunk they just laugh..

Why should they care what we do outside of school?
 
naw dont sue anybody, that shit is dick. maybe he didnt deserve the suspension, but its not the end of the fucking world. there are definetly some injustices in this country that you should challenge in court, but a 5-day suspension for suspected drinking isnt one of them. just keep on truckin, its no big deal...
