School Fundraisers

Hey NS, so for my final project myself and four friends are planning a bikepacking trip through the Kokopelli trail in Moab. Currently we running low on personal funds and we all know that getting a job is the solution to our problem but what are some good fundraisers we could run to help raise money.

Our first thoughts are running a bike-a-thon where we set up two bikes and we bike all day in our cafeteria to get awareness and get money.

but thats all we have right now, any other sick ideas? it's always appreciated.

Why would people donate so you can go on a sick trip? That makes no sense, get your head out of your ass and get a job!

These trips/ final expeditions are part of the program I'm in so it's almost expected that everybody fundraises at this time of year.

Also three of the five of us have weekend jobs and cannot work Thursday's and Friday's.

I'm just looking to see if anyone has some awesome ideas to help us out. We know that we're paying for most of it. Anything helps

I still don't get it. It's not for charity, or public service, so why should people give you money?

I second this. Give the trip a purpose for something other than for your own self-enrichment. People would be much more inclined to donate if you're doing the trip for the betterment of someone or something else to raise support for them. If that's the case, you can more than likely land sponsorship/donations from local or large businesses. Thats what I did last year. I started the first lacrosse camp at my high school and was able to raise about $3000 worth of donations alone from donations and sponsorships. All of the registration money went back into the program so we can get the stuff we need for seasons to come.
