we got a head holiday(no school) on 420, quite ironic, i cant believe they did it
 
haha that is quite ironic, better just to save time i guess... if i was a teacher i wouldn't want to stand up and teach a bunch of stoned kids..
 
I think 4:20 is such a stupid concept. Kids have no idea what the hell it is, yet "celebrate" by getting high. COOOOOOL
 
Well I've heard most of hte explanations, refer to the other thread. Most people just use it as an excuse to celebrate a "highliday"
 
i don alot of older poepel don't knwo what 420 is....liek even older poepel that smoke a lot...they dont' know.

Well, it's at least the most elaborate..: "According to Steven Hager, editor of High Times, the term 420 originated at San Rafael High School, in 1971, among a group of about a dozen pot-smoking wiseacres who called themselves the Waldos. The term 420 was shorthand for the time of day the group would meet, at the campus statue of Louis Pasteur, to smoke pot. ``Waldo Steve,'' a member of the group who now owns a business in San Francisco, says the Waldos would salute each other in the school hallway and say ``420 Louis!'' The term was one of many invented by the group, but it was the one that caught on. ``It was just a joke, but it came to mean all kinds of things, like `Do you have any?' or `Do I look stoned?' '' he said. ``Parents and teachers wouldn't know what we were talking about.'' why argue with an excuse to smoke lots with friends? 420 is a force for good even if dosnt really mean much.
 
This morning while i was walking into school at 7:40 AM, i saw about 20 people who were obviously high. Now let's be honest. I would rather sleep than get high. You idiots. I hate people
 
Last summer i met the little bro (now like 40 with kids) of one of the kids who started it. at that highschool. It was actaully really random cause i was talking to this girl and we see a random guy with a 4:20 tat on his sholder and we were talking about how dumb (to advertize that on you sholder) when one of her family friends walked up and started talking with us about it. I was 16 and she was 15 at the time so we were a little wierded out talking to someone our parents age about weed. but when we said it stood for April 20th as High Day he was like really? cause that was the code word my bro and his friends used for it back in Highschool.

And this guy would have had no reason to make it up, Also i was in callie near San fran, and the girl i was with goes to that school, san rafel or whatever.
 
today at our school it was " get to school on your own steam day " meaning walk to school and they gave out free tim hortons food , also we got skiing refund money like 15$
 
actually it is traditionally the code for domestic violence or a family fight... it was not untill recently it became the code for catching people smoking pot... it became the code for pot smoking because it was already used by pot heads and it just made sence. as for the day... i believe it orginated from the time of day stoners would get high... and that led to the date april 20th, why is christmas celebrated on december 25th when astrological records clearly prove it was april 17th 6 BC. becuase its a date that works... so if stoners want to have a day they can celebrate all the wonderful things pot does for them, then they should be allowed. ppl ppl ppl. 420 is all about sorting the stupid stoners from the smart ones. stupid stoners wake up and get high all day. smart stoners will not get high untill 4:20 making sure all their daily goals have been accheived.

i have come to the conclusion that i am a stupid stoner
