ok, htis sucks ass. for my summer reading crap, i have 4 really long boring books including the deerslayer and the femenine mystique thing.i dont even have these books yet. everyone says they suck. and on top of this, we have to do an online forum and talk about our books over hte summer!!! OUR TEACHER IS A FRIGGIN DUMBASS!!! how can someone already be stressed out before school starts? well, we are getting a grade for our class for this summer online forum before school has even started....so..i can flunk english before school even starts..its bogus

that really sucks....

i have to:

-read 2 chapters of a history text book while outlining it approx. -answer about 40 in depth questions

-read four primary sources from the period

-then read another 3 chapters from a different text book while outlining it.

-then write a 1500 word formal thesis essay on the different points of view between the sources

-plus read The Grapes of Wrath and some other book while annotating for English

i'll read the cliffnotes but the history stuff is like 1/2 of my first quarter grade so i have to do it, but i'll cut as many corners as possible.

anyone got a gun?

Yea it's just reading... if you have that bad of an attention span to not be able to read 30 pages a day in the summer then you shouldn't even be taking the class. Since 8th grade I've had summer reading for English, 2 years of highschool I had AP History work, and I had 3 years of math to do in the summer. It's not like you're the only one there pal. It wasn't much fun, but it's just gonna be worse if you bitch and slack.

 
That is the dumbest thing i have ever heard. I'm going into gr.10 and I'm going to go to some workshop thing in a university for Nuclear Engineering! Should be great!ahahah.

i had to read 7 chapters and a book for AP US history last summer. It was easy but of course I waited til the last minute. There should be sparknotes on those books. If not go to the library or barnes and noble and get the cliff notes.
