just moved to college and after setting up my air port express in our dorm and gettin wireless to my mac book realized that i can open up limewire but cant down load anything. anyway around this computer guys?????

well maybe limewire is just banned...try one of the bittornet thingys...i havea yet to try them but i am sure they work

download stuff on bittorrent. My school doesn't care what we do, as long as we don't download more than 3 gigs a day.

im sure you can bypass limewire though. i do also use bit torrent but if i wanna download a single song i'd rather use limewire.

Yea I just got out here to Utah and realized the same thing. I know bit torrent works but id much rather use limewire.

more than likely you will not find one that will work, at least not for long before your network admins see the traffic and shut that one down too. also i would make sure that you arent going to get into trouble for hooking up a router or wireless, most schools frown upon that

If your school is big, dont worry about it, find another program. My school is small, and kids have actually gotten suspended for downloading stuff.

If you've in a dorm, you can get OurTunes, which allows you to share music with people on the same network. If you've got some kids with good music on your floor, you can just get their music over the network. My brother has it at college and there are usually about 40,000 songs on it. Unfortunately, it only only works for music.
