School alcohol policy regarding athletics

our snowboard team has gotten a bit smaller over the past couple days. 13 kids were hot boxing the gondola at squaw and got caught. then last night was homecoming and a few more got caught drinking. but the ski team is still strong in numbers(all 8 of us).
 
Sue the shit out of that coach. And everyone else you have a clean shot at. You live in the states, after all... Why are you people so dense as to think officials can get away with anything? There is such a thing as abuse of power. Contacting colleges to get them to deny scholarships, for example, is defamation. Talk to a good lawyer, he'd probably be glad to help you for a big share of the settlement.
 
thats how it is at my school too. unless you show up drunk or high to school or a school event (or your a dorm student) they can't and won't do anything...

Ya, I know I sound like a tool as everybody has already said. I don't agree with the training rules that if you're not on school grounds of affecting the team at all that you should be in trouble for drinking, but you signed a contract that said you wouldnt and that means you can get in trouble. You did, you have to deal with it, I don't personally agree, but you broke a contract with the school.
 
The point, of course, is that it shouldn't have gone beyond the school. Talk about low standards of law enforcement. That search warrant should never have been granted.
 
i fucking hate do gooder parents. this mom of some kid on our soccer team tried to get all of us seniors in trouble for drinking and starting their kids drinking fuck that shit
 
^^yes this is true, but i just got out of a meeting with a cop and my principal and from what i understand is that the school was aloud to review this tape becasue they were helping the police name the suspects involved. and thats legal... they were helping the investigation i guess.
 
i feel for ya man. i got suspended for 5 days this week for being drunk at homecoming. are stupid friend ratted us all out after he started puking in the bathroom and got caught.
