School alcohol policy regarding athletics

yeah so 3 quarters of my town was at this party last saturday night. it was the kids bday so he wanted to throw himself a party. some random kid was wandering the street after the party and this mom(of a total nark in our grade) driving a van asked him where he was comming from. he told her and she called the kid(who was throwing the party)'s track coach. the next morning the coach booted him becasue of are no warning policy regarding the consumption of alcohol. the coach didnt stop thier, he then went to the mayor and the superintendant. the mayor gave the police dept. some hell for not taking names( the cops gave us 15 min to get out). so now the police dept. is under heat and the school's sports director is demanding every name of every athlete that was at the party..... so far, no names were given up

but wait it gets better. somehow the information gets leaked that thier was a video of the party that someone filmed and that it was at the kids house(the one who threw the party). the pd got a search warrant and when they tried to get the tape the kid threw it out his window. the cop threatend to charge him with tampering with evidence. the pd ended up getting the tape becaseu it didn't break. so this morning, our superintendant, sports director, principal and chief of police got together and watched this tape. needless to say we were all fucked. this after noon they booted 20 athletes off of 4 diff sports. so much for our ski team. we were fuckin sick too. oh well... week before sectionals too...damn.
 
Dude your school sounds so fucking gay. Thats so shitty. I bet the kid that told the lady where he was coming from gets a severe ass beating.
 
well now you get to pass up the memories of being on a successful team senior year. I didn't drink in high school, doesnt mean I don't have good memories.
 
^Did you seriously not drink in high school? Thats insane, I can't even think of a kid that hasn't drank in my school and were only juniors.
 
yeah no offense but im almost gaurentee you ive had 15 times more fun by drinking than you had in hs by not. ive been drinking since 10th grade and we have had tons of fun times. our town is hella small though and thiers not much to do but drink. so you gotta see where im commmin from i guess
 
I know a kid that doesnt drink acctually, but he has twice. He likes to sit at home on fri and sat because everyone else is out partying and he still thinks dare rocks.
 
im not blaming the school people. ik its my fault. it sucks...but oh well ill live. crazy shit though. gona rock the community thats for sure
 
yeah thats some bullshit, my ski racing team was a joke so i would always blaze before and shit, but thats rediculous to take that much effort to screw kids over for drinking
 
thats stupud, what you do outside of school and school trips is none of their bussiness. Just say to they that being kicked off the team wont stop you from partying. And you're more likely to behave if you have sports.
 
you live in such a small town that the high school people have constant contact with the PD? Get the fuck out now.
 
his rents are fucked to. cause they let us party thier and they partyed too. i guess they got charged today with 50 counts of dealing with a minor...something like that.
 
Thats so fucking insane and soooo gay. The one thing everyone has that might keep them from partying so much and they take it away. We live in a fucked up world.

is it illegal over there to drink underage if your on private land like a house? If it is that is complete bullshit. Worse than the 21 drinking age.
 
at least your school isnt suspending people. i was recently really close to a 10 days suspension and restricted school activity for something that happened last weekend. except now the administration is under heat for harassment so everything is working out.
 
wow your school needs to get a fuckin clue.. kids are gonna drink, and they took the rules of engagment way overboard by doing all that shit with the cops..

but at least ur cops are(or at least "were") cool enough to let u guys have 15 mins to scatter. if that was around here they wouldnt have needed to go through all that hassle cause the cops wouldve taken every single one of us to Jail
 
well are sports director is taken shit too becasue he threatened to call colleges up and make it so he coudlnt get in(that is, the kid who threw the party). the kid has like 4 scholarship oppritunities for track. thats some black male right thier. i also heard tonite that lawyers might be involved later on. this could get interesting. can't wait to read the paper tomorrow, or mabey monday.
 
Acctually in all states parents are allowed to give you like 1 glass of wine an hour or some shit, legally. Thats straight from my drug counsler, so I know it's true.

what the fuck. i cant believe the attitudes of the school and police officials in your town. here we might have ONE teacher as strict and over the top as that but it seems like everyone inolved in this case has their heads completely up their asses. i love canada.
 
saying that not drinking in high school means you dont have fun is completely fucking untrue. I hang out with all the straigh edge kids at my school, and we have just as much if not more fun than the kids that smoke 3 bowls before school and drink every weekend. as an athelete, getting drunk once sets you back two weeks of training. I go to a huge school (700+ in my class) and a party gets busted easily once a month. So there are a lot of kids not driving to school now. That sucks for you though, and the parents are pretty well fucked too. you could still form a non school sponsored ski club
 
^yeah two weeks hahahahah. not only are we the biggest partiers but were all the best athletes of a school who wins sectionals in close to every sport. if this shit didnt happen we were most def going to be the most succesful group of athletes in our schools history. and its not like were stoners dude. we just like to drink.

there was a kid on the swimming team, and the captain said at the beginning of the season that no one was to drink cus it would ruin performance, but this kid drank, the captain found out. soo he had alllll the boys on the team pee in a trash can, and then they canned him in it. thats the un-official rule. sucked for him mucho.
 
Aight what I don't get is why, if you didn't get a drinking ticket the school was allowed to review the tape. It is criminal evidence, they have no business with it
