Hey NS, I went to the TGR premier in Novi this weekend and they had Shaggy Copper Country ski. There a small ski company that make there line right here in Michigan. I believe in supporting local economy so I figured I would post there site on here. They only got one park (Betsy) and one twin big mountain (tubby) ski really, but there whole line looked nice and they were super light and looked pretty well made. I don't represent them in any way. I just thought I would post a local company to give them some help. What you think?

Yea, ive seen them at Outdoor action company before (the old skier peak) and yea I agree on supporting the economy and all yea. I was also at the primere as well last night. But anyways the only thing im not a fan of is that they only have one size for their park ski. And the they owners/reps are pretty cool about everything. They gave me their card and said any time im in the upper peninsula to give em a call to test out their pow skis at the upper peninsula and what not.

i totally don't understand SCC. I found their site a few months ago. Their based out of Southern MI, and everything is Keweenaw themed. So they must have a rep here in the UP to meet for demos?

i should prolly just get into conatact with them

Yeah they build all there skis in South Lyon, but the rep that was at the show went to Michigan Tech and lives up in Houghton so you should def get a hold of him. He seemed really laid back and cool for letting you demo anything you wanted! He esp. was pushing the Tubby's

I agree, but if the ski is well built then I really wouldn't care about how it looks. They aren't ugly by any means

hm you're right. the guy i talked to i thought said they were building them out of their house in tc, but i was kind of fucked up

yea i saw an scc skis ad in a freeskier. Stoked to see ski companies coming out of michigan, the Epic planks "cropduster" or whatever they named it looked like a good powder ski, kinda resembles the EP pros w/ a thinner waist.
