When I was Cat Skiing at Monarch, one of the guys that was with us told us a story about his avalance beacon. He was skiing in France at the same place that Doug Combs died and he put his name on his beacon and then it got stolen from him. The next day a ski patroller gave it back to him because the guy who stole died in an avalance the day before.
 
he also told us about when he was growing up in jackson, the guy using the artillary guns to control avalances missed and hit the highway
 
hahaha people would like think terrorists are attacking or sumthing. haha wouldnt u just shity urself if that happened and u were driving alongh them boom! holy shit hahha
 
i'm pretty sure that if someone died using a beacon, i wouldn't touch that beacon with a ten foot ski pole. throw that shit in the surf and buy a new one.
 
i would definatley retire that beacon to the bookshelf. thats really creepy shit, but that sounds like true karma to me...
 
that means dont fuck with doug combs or he will kill you! haha. im not trying to be an asshole or anything cuz it sucks how he died. but ya kinda wierd.
 
I was driving up to Tahoe a couple weeks ago on 50 and saw a car stopped in the middle of the road with his entire hood crushed in by a boulder! The thing was probably 5'x5'x2' - talk about hitting a brick wall
