I am so sick of seeing previews and getting all excited because I think that I am going to get the shit scared out of me and then leave the theater so disappointed. I am definetly going to give Saw a chance though.

skiierman, it's called 'There's something about Mcconkey', it came out like 3 years ago.

Freek-A-Leek, it's 'Shining', not 'Shinning', unless you were referring to the Simpsons Halloween Special.

For me, I haven't really watched any movies that've scared me, unless I put myself in the person's perspective where I'd be freaked to shit in 'Wrong Way' when they're just about to get out of the cabin when the hicks get home and they have to hide in the house while they cut up their friends.

Personally, I thought TCM was pretty scary because it was real, well based on a true story but whatever. The exorcist was creepy, and I want to go see The Grudge but I can't get a ride.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre was based on Ed Gein, and he only killed 2 people... but he was messed up. He kept all these bodies in his house and liked to 'wear' the skins of them. But yeah, the movie was pretty scary.

house of a 1000 corpses was one of the worst movies i've ever seen. jacob's ladder sucked too, not scary at all. i thought the grudge was really good. looking back at the plot and stuff it was kind of stupid, but it freaked the hell out of me in the theater.

Yeah, although The Grudge wasn't all that scary, it had the 'jump' factor dialed in, perfect date movie, I can't get those eyes outta my head though... Probably one of the most disurbing movies I've ever seen was 'Dagon', god that was wierd... Rent that one if you want to see some grizzly shit... It's a B-movie, but well done for the budget.

Ok, first things first: The Ring wasnt as scary as the origional that first came out in Japan a year or so before. If you really want to get creeped out for a week, find that movie, its pretty good as scary movies go.

Event Horizon was one of the scariest sci-fi movies that I've seen so far. Definently look into it.

Now, the shining and the exrocist... these movies are kind of like silence of the lambs to me. I was told that they would be really creepy and all before i saw them and it dissillusioned me i think, so they didnt seem that creepy. Still, watch all three, they're classics and thats all there is to them.

Now, for my personal favorites:

Evil Dead - If you havent seen this, go rent this tonight. The sequels are funny, (Army of Darkness, haha) but the origional is really really awesome.

Halloween - Fucking crazy classic movie, make sure you have seen this before you turn 20.

Rosemary's Baby - This movie is one of those movies that is scary just because of how messed up it is. Check it out sometime, be prepared cause its weird.

There are a few more, i cant remember now tho...
