Scariest sleep paralysis stories

I've never had sleep paralysis myself but I find it pretty interesting and kinda creepy so I wanted to hear the scariest one someone has experienced on ns. I also heard you can self-induce it but idk if that would be a good idea lol

This face would come down and attack me and I would have to fight my body to wake up before it got me. Stopped smoking weed because of it.

For about a year after my dad committed suicide I would have nightmares or go into sleep paralysis in which I would have to watch him die in different ways and I always could have saved him but something was stopping me from doing so.

The most vivid one that I remember was my dad being trapped in a car which was starting to go up in flames but I was up on a bridge with no way to get down in time to open the door of the car.

It fucking sucked.

I'm sorry for your loss, brother, that sounds very painful to relive. Thank you for sharing.

In college, I took tons of weednaps and found myself experiencing sleep paralysis maybe once a month or so during those daytime naps only- never during normal sleep hours. The two experiences I remember most vividly are; once I fell asleep with my bedroom door open and ended up in sleep paralysis. I clearly remember "feeling", not so much seeing but feeling that there was a little girl standing in my doorway looking at me, and an old man was standing some distance behind her. That's pretty much it; but at the time it was truly bizarre. I can still clearly remember that image.

The second and more bizarre experience was in the same house (preface: college party house with two fellas visiting from the UK) and I fell asleep late afternoon while the homies were out. I ended up in sleep paralysis and had the extremely real sensation that my homies had come home and were literally jumping on me in my bed to wake me up to hang out. I could literally feel the crushing weight of two big drunk English douchebags on me, and in my mind I truly believed they were there. Turns out I was alone in the house the entire time.

Fuck sleep paralysis, I stopped taking naps because of it.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. Life sucks sometimes but it always can be worse.

I am surprised you experienced it from “weednaps” because for most people cannabis prevents dreaming. I hardly ever dream when I smoke and now that I’m quitting again (drug tests) my dreams are SUPER lucid and trippy.

Same for me with nighttime dreams 100%, been toking daily for years. But during daytime naps specifically, something was getting thrown way outta whack regarding my conscious/unconscious boundaries, like I was aware and conscious of my thoughts but physically unable to move, which I think is what "sleep paralysis" is usually referring to. It felt like I had woken up in the middle of a REM sleep cycle but was stuck between being awake and asleep.

At first sleep paralysis was fucking TERRIFYING the first few times I experienced it. It's by far the trippiest and most uncomfortable shit I've ever experienced in my life, and I legit "saw" weird horror-movie-like shit. After a while I learned the best way to deal with sleep paralysis in the moment is to simply accept it, relax, think about something awesome like skiing powder, and you'll drift back into sleep and eventually wake up at the end of a sleep cycle and feel better.

You guys should google image search "sleep paralysis" if you want to have legit nightmares haha, but they show exactly what it feels like imo

Had a friend who would always talk about having sleep paralysis. He said he'd wake up randomly at night and not be able to move but felt a deep sensation of fear and agony. Turns out he was epileptic and was just having mad seizures while he slept lol .

the lol at the end seems fucked up haha

Sometimes I wake up and I see a hooded black figure standing in the corner of my room and then charges towards me and its terrifying and I have learned to live with it.

I was catching some mad head from a zombie but then his instincts kicked in and he started nibbling my dick and I wasn't able to get him off me

I always get it when I'm sleeping in a vehicle like a car, bus or plane nowhere else. It's just fucking scary because I'm conscious for like 2 minutes sometimes and can't move at all. I can hear everything going on, and sometimes see a little, but no matter how hard I try I can't move or speak or anything. Last time I dreamed that the plane went down and was on fire, but I couldn't move and when the flames got to me I woke up for real, but still in sleep paralysis and couldn't move.

This shit is scary is hell. happened to me twice in like a week. You wake up, but you're still dreaming and you can't move your body... Then you hear this scary as fuck yelling noise from outside your window and you can't move or get up to run away.. you're stuck staring at the ceiling while this demonic screech comes closer... I' swear i've seen red eyes looking at me too... You'll believe in the devil after one of these experiences.
