its hard to believe he could survive that!!
 
yeah, after he got to the bottom and seamed somewhat ok, I started wondering as to whether they were going to ski that side or the sunny side, and if the sunny side, how much longer the walk out of the side he fell down was.
 
Yeah, I watched it a few times and it definitely looks like they were going to head down the side where the guy was prepping his skis. If they were going to be dropping the other way, they would have had to hike down a ways to the end of the rocks. Since he was in the process of clicking in, they were ready to ski from there. It looks like he was intentionally side slipping backwards to get around his buddies skis and he wasn't paying attention. He definitely went switch over that little saddle. I think he is going to think twice from now on about his choice of places to click in.

Who knows what this did to their exit strategy.
 
Jebus that got my heart racing before he even fell... reading half the comments then watching it, god... just waiting for him to drop.

Holy shit, I just realized that the last clip from up top is him again. He went all the way back up after that fall? That is insane. You can see his tracks at the bottom and where he went off.
 
having to wait almost a minute to watch that happen was unbearable. that literally gave me a fucking panic attack.
 
I dunno what you guys are all talking about, he rode it out pretty clean. Stomped it really. Props on the gnarly line. Hitting it switch too! Damn..
 
He didn't make the full rotation on the 180 off of the bottom cliff drop. What a shame.

For real, that guy is so lucky
 
Not much I guess, since the Stubai glacier is pretty easy to get off from.

Really happy this guy walked away from it unharmed.
 
That's amazing. If you found yourself on the wrong side of a peak in Colorado in some places it could take you a day or more to get out.
 
yeah that was my initial thought. that dude could have been so fucked even after surviving that unbelievable fall seemingly unscathed.
 
i know this is an older thread, but does anyone have the video of this? really want to show some people this crash but i can't find it! please help, +k of course.
