First off all summer I live on an island with no cars, you ride bikes everywhere, the ocean is on one side, bay on the other, and no one really cares about underage drinking. To get the the mainland it is a 30 minute ferry ride and there are no hospitals on the island.
So last night a bunch of my friends and I, 12-15 kids, got together in my friends house and chilled there drinking. Everyone was getting pretty hammered but most of us kept it under control. About two hours into the night one of my friends, we will call her Mary, is noticably tanked. I see her trying to open the door to go outside but she doesnt know how to open it. I go ask her where she is going and open the door, she makes all of two steps and falls face first on the ground. I pick her up and set her down out of the way and go back inside to get someone else to help me with her. We carry her inside and put her on the couch. At this point her eys had rolled back into her head and her tongue was hanging out of her mouth. It was overwhelming, everyone was in a panic, and the one "sober" kid there decided to yell "i dont feel a pulse." I flipped a shit on him and almost ended up kicking his ass, because she was clearly still responsize, she would mumble, and all his comments did was make the situation worse. My friend and I ended up calling the girls older brothers who came and called their mom and the head of security. At this point be her brother, who is a year older than me, that his older brother was out to get me, so me and my friend left.
Mary ended up passing out, but her BAC kept rising, she had to me helivaked off the island and taken to a hospital. So at around 1 am, my friend and I, sober at this point, went to talk to the head of security and figure out what was going on. Boy am I glad we did this, I, by myself, was blamed for, buying the alcohol, encouraging Mary to continue drinking (I only saw her take one sip the entire night) and taking advantage of her when she was passed out, all of which are bull shit. I also found out who blamed me for all of this, so i need to confront her tomorow. The other problem is, this is a community of about 250 people, its like a highschool cafeteria, one thing is said, and it is told 100 times over and get more exagerated each time. Right now the entire community is blaming me for pretty much everything, and ive even heard that I tried to sexually assault the girl, who is one of my best friends. All of these comments are bull shit, but no matter what no one is ever going to hear the truth. I am very glad my friend is ok and was not harmed, but this incident really put a damper on the summer.
