Scared myself today

I accidently went off a jump in the terrain park today. It was my first time going off a jump because this is my first year and I've just been practicing skiing. Anyways, I was skiing down a run when I decided to cut through a passage in the trees onto another run. I thought it would have brought me beyond the terrain park, but it actually brought to the start of it. So I just decided to ski down the edge of it, where I figured I would avoid the jumps. I was going pretty fast and the visibility was bad, so I was suprised to find myself flying in the air all of a sudden. I cleared what little landing there was and I thought I was going to break my legs, but the landing didn't actually hurt at all. My legs sucked up the whole impact, and I just kind of slid onto my back because I had my weight shifted back. So I just got up and skied away.

I'm not sure how high I was, it felt like fifteen feet when I was in the air, but that's definitely an exageration after I got a look of what the jump was actually like.

i love those airs! flippin hilarious - people fly through the air rolling down the windows, screaming, petrified in fear......good times good times

I hate when a jump gives more air than you bargain for...cause alll you do is wait for the landing to take a toll on your knees

-my name is sirjibsalot i like to jib rails alot, curved ones, kinked ones, long ones, short ones, rainbow ones, and hand rail ones, because my name is sirjibsalot-

Thats always scary, especially when you are like 10ft above where you want to land and still going, just watching the landing fall away, knowing you could easily break both your legs.

clearing a jump's landing is far worse than casing it........ unless its a gap jump of course.

You know something that would really make me applaud? A guy gets stuck in quicksand, then sinks, then suddenly comes shooting out, riding on water skis. How do they do that?

this one dude at blue got a major concussion from overshotting a jump. he has bad eyesight and used to never wear glasses/contacts while skiing. he goes off the jump and does a huge mute grab... he's still about 20ft off the ground when he reaches the starting of the landing... i can't exactly remember, but i think it was two weeks before he could talk normally.

Birdy Birdy in the sky, why'd you do that in my eye, I wont fret I wont cry, I'm just glad cows dont fly.

haha thats awesome man... at least now u probably wont be afraid at all to hit the jumps... it always feels like 1000000 feet... FEELS... damn man then when u look at how high u realy are like 6 feet or watever... u see the pros ACTUALLY like 15-30 feet high and ur like holy shit man...

Today was kinda scary when I dropped into a chute at kirkwood and somehow lost my balance and went tumbling down the chute and over the rocks at the bottom. I knew they were coming up but I couldn't stop myself. Miraculously I tumbled over unscathed. I'm feeling pretty lucky.

Is the poopdeck really what I think it is?

i had one at mt. washington where it was bad vis and I was riding down and all of the sudden I saw something so I stopped good thing I stopped cause it was the roof of the road crew shack. I kind thanked god cause I was on top of a 25 foot drop to parking lot then all of the sudden there was a little cornice/windlip that I stopped on and it broke so I was falling back first onto this parking lot thinking i'm dead and it was the day before I had to compeate in provincals. but I ended up landing in the only fresh snow in the entire lot that had sloughed off the cliff I fell off and I was A O.K. that was scary.

I ate shit hard at Breck yesterday. There was flat light, and I was cruising down a green to get to the base, and all of a sudden I went flying into the air at 80 mph, it turned out I went into a ditch, kind of a natural halfpipe. I went flying into the opposite wall head on, lost my skis, gloves, hat, goggles, poles, and I got a concussion. The worst air experience of my life.

i ate shit big time yesterday....

punctured a small whole in my arm. its a all swollen.. um did this nice face plant head bash. and i have snow burn on my hair line of my forehead... um yeah it hurts.. plus my back is still whacked out.... crashing likes me......

and unplanned air scares me.... i hate getting airborn and not planning/thinking it out first..
