Scared for competition tomorrow..

yo dont worry about it. think of it as a way to get better. just do what you can do and take note on what the other better kids do. no one is judging you. just have fun

thanks bro ill try. i think i just need to get over the nervousness of messing up.. i just dont want to look like a fool and i wanna do semi good!

Honestly, its just like THall's coach says in Every Day's a Saturday, just do what you know how to do and have fun with it. By the way, usually you want to have a safe run where you can stomp every trick, then a hard run that you might land and could win the comp. That way at least you do ok even if you fall on your hard run.

but yea dude. like CR says... just do what you know how to do best. if you stomp that, pick it up a bit. if its your first comp, just worry about havin fun.

exactly, it's your first comp, so go in with low expectations and just have fun with it (that's the point right, to have fun in a competitive nature). You never know you might do better than you think. As you get more and more comfortable competing you'll find you're able to push it more. Have fun and good luck!!

competing in comps (especially if they are above your skill level) is one of the best ways to improve coz u see people throwing sick tricks you cant do and get motivated to learn them

If its slope on your first run lay something down on each feature that you know you can land, then second maybe go a little bigger
if its a rail jam same idea one trick down on each then try stuff

I used to have the worst butterflys at comps, but it really really really helps if you have just one friend you know there.

It also helps if you can find a way to turn your nervousness into energy. Good luck man. My first comp went decent so I expect yours will too

good luck man. the way i do it is to get some mates along with me. or get some of the dutch courage or if ur lucky, bothhh. just make sure u have man man. good luck

thanks! yea it went sweet today best day of my life. i met andy parry a while ago on the lift at the canyons and he was there by himself so i went and talked to him and he remembered me and then i skii'd with him the rest of the comp. then after i ski'd with this guy name mcrae williams who i didnt know was pro till the end of the day but they both helped me out a ton! it was so sick! and i did pretty good for myself in the comp

Dont be such a fucking pussy and just go out there and have fun. It doesnt really matter how you placed as long as you leave knowing you tried your best and that you can gain from your experience.

I had my first comp in Jan
I was lucky to have a bunch of skier friends that were really nice
That made me calm down allot
Good luck tommorow

im in the same boat as you bro... my first ski comp is coming up in april and ive been training for it really hard, but im really nervous and really scared. However, my first in-line comp, i felt the same way, but when i got there and started watching everyone else go, i realized... "holy shit, im not the worst here!" after that it was pretty smooth sailing from there. just find out what you are good at, and highlight that. (ex. if you are good at 270's on and off rails, throw some steeze on it and make it look good.) just relax and you'll be fine. hope this helps bro... you'll do fine
