Scar stories

When I was 5 or so I was petting my cousins' dog, and my face was close up to it, next thing I knew it had bit a huge chunk of my face off, I still have scars on my nose/lip from the stitches

I've got 9 scars on my knees due to 3 knee surgeries in the past year. 2013 was by far the worst year of my life. But, it can hopefully only go up from rock bottom.

i have a little scar under my chin, similar to this one:

when i was ~7 years old i was balancing between the kitchen table and the heating radiator, when i slipped and smashed my head on the radiator. pretty badass.

also my knees are all scarred up from playing field hockey all my life.

and i got a long scar on my shin from sailing and carving my shin open on something.

aannd ive got several scars on my hand from slamming my fist through the ceiling

yeah ive got more badass scars than anyone

So, this here is a picture of when I was still in the hospital, with the bandage on my head post surgery.

The second is the best photo I could find of the scar while my head was still shaved. Nowadays, I have my hair cut so that it keeps the scar covered, and the portion on my neck is far lighter.

I have a scar across my nose from when our truck took an ied blast. I was the gunner and it hit from the 3 o'clock and i was facing the 9 luckily. The shock from the blast made me smack my face off my 240 buttstock and thank good I was wearing eye pro cause the eye pro hit the corner of the buttstock and left this huge gash in my nose. If my face wouldve hit it instead of the eye pro it most likely wouldve just broke my nose instead of cutting it.

I have 10 scars on my right leg from surgery to fix femur/tibia/fibula, 3 on my left from knee surgeries, one on my right shin from the branch of the tree i hit when i broke my leg, one from my middle knuckle to my wrist on the back of my right hand from a cat that didnt want to get microchipped, plus countless dog bite scars (i worked at a shelter for 4 yrs). Oh and a little one on my forehead from my dad hitting me with a shovel. On accident i swear. I was stupid and walked behind him when he was shoveling snow.

I've got a similar scar on the same arm from splitting my humerous and dislocating my elbow, took two pins and a 6 hour surgery. Mines a lot more faded now though...

That was the day my cast was removed, it looks a bit nicer now.

Anyone have issues with reoccurring scabs not healing? I had a few due to stitches that I eventually ripped out, but there are a few spots that refuse to heal up fast

Bloody knuckles as a result of park skiing without gloves (aka falling again and again in exceedingly awkward ways) x several occasions = scarred knuckles

Hey I've got one too! when I was a wee lad, I thought it would be cool to try and balance a wooden chair on its back legs even though it was way too big for me. my parents kept telling me to stop but I said yolo and went for it one last time. the chair started falling back and I thought I could save it by leaning forward as far as I could. too late, however and the chair was on its way down and the seat part smashed my chin and a couple pissed off parents and a drive to the hospital later I had like 6 or 7 stitches. I used that scar to get all the ladies in preschool the next day

I Had an uncle named Scar and he pushed my father off a cliff, so i left and met a monkey who showed me some stars, then i met a bitch, fucked her, and returned and killed my uncle.

I've got a big ass (like 2 in x 4 in) hypertrophic scar on the side of my hip from getting caught when I was younger in between a treadmill and a wall. I got third degree burns all over the left side of my body from the friction of the treadmill belt and luckily only ended up with one gnarly scar instead of my whole face bein f'd up

accidentally sat me macbook on fire on a wooden table (which obviously was also caught in the flames), when i was skiing in sweden with a friend.

We had left our jackets on the table and apparently the candle had got hold of them - one thing lead to another and within seconds meter high flames stood up from the table. I panicked and tried to smother the fire with the jacket closest to me. I ended up with a second-degree burn on my hand, two melted jackets and a melted macbook. All this happened on the third day of the trip, so we had to go buy new jackets and pay for the table as well...

it was a pretty good trip

Heyo, same here. How deep was yours/where was it located? Mine was right on the hearing nerve, so I was fortunate that it wasn't deep, but it was so large it was pushing my brainstem out of alignment. I was lucky to have very few lasting side effects from the surgery.
