"Say My Name" Grete Eliassen

pretty much all of the pink names in this thread agree with what you have to say. we are way stoked that this finally happened. it's just a little frustrating that it didn't come out with a bang; watch the movie and see if you know what i mean by this. just a small example: one of my favorite parts was someone throwing a double. awesome right? but they filmed it in a way that you couldn't see the landing... i personally want to see a girl stomp that! and if she doesn't, then at least show her crash or something. basically, this movie held a ton of potential and i think we (the pink names) were all sooooo stoked for it that maybe our hopes were a little too high. regardless, it's a great beginning to something wonderful in the world of women's skiing.

The movie was decent. I like the concept of an all-girl movie. This was a project started and carried by Grete so it is no surprise it was mainly about here. That being said, I would have loved to see more stuff from other girls. I also thought that Grete was trying a bit too hard in some of more lifestyle-type shots, but oh well. Would love to see a further collaboration between chick skiers. Get Ingrid and Rachel in there too.

have not seen the movie yet but judging by the trailer. grete sendsss it. sending a larrrrrge double stage cliff and stomping many other drops.

Talk about the most ridiculous generalization I've ever heard in my entire life. How can you blame a lack of progression completely on others? Every single person ever has had to face obstacles in order to progress, using them as an excuse is complete and total bullshit. Also, opinions can't be bad. It's dope that these girls made their own movie, and everyone is aware that there will be good segments in the video. But in my opinion it's also fair to say that the level of skiing will be higher in most male dominated videos.

Just watched this. This was fucking terrible. Not because of Grete, but the filming and editing were so poorly put together. The music was shit. There was hardly any other footage of other female skiers, etc. etc. etc.
Don't bother. If you want to see females shred, check out the segments that the likes of Burke have done in the past.

all you haters are assholes, its cool to see them making a movie and who cares if they dont send as hard as edollo or bobby, i bet they still do it for the same reasons and the same drive for the sport

It's awesome to see a movie focused around a female athlete.

The logical next step is to put together an all female movie. Chick shredders always mention that they have more fun and progress more when they ride with other girls; why not bridge the sports and have a snowboard/ski flick of chicas killing it everywhere?

There are photogs like Elina Sirparanta or Julie Weinberger out there already; there's got to be a female filmer with the skills to make it happen.

I'm not buying it.

Put other girls in there. And by that I mean 15 or so different girls, skiers/snowboarders/whatever and then maybe I'll think about it. Such a shame they didn't think of that the first time around, coulda made a killing.
