i briefly owned a pair of 161 blue ones. i'm old enough to have owned a pair of yellow ones off the first shipment (the ones with the wrong caps on the tips)

i had 1260s first but then i got those ones where they had the white dorion ones and the blueish cusson ones, i had the not-so-known orange ones with some aisian guys name on them, they were the 161's... i never even heard of him

no, second season of the 1080's were blue.

They were great skis but they still came with plastic tips that would eventually fall off.

not arguing the plastic caps have fallen off but never happened to me... I had a pair of the earliest model with the old cap, got em cheap from the shop, demo skis, I was one of maybe 4 kids to ride them all year, I've come a long way since those snowblading days hahaha
