Say hi to fellow NS members?

i've yelled out "how do you get to chads gap from the bottom of alta" a few times and have gotten one person to replay with ski patrol blew it up...

I've been called out chads gap style once at Sunday River.
but the rest of the time I've either called out or been called out by something along the lines of: "yo whats your NS name?"

I've yelled out the Chad's Gap call before, but the closest answer I've ever gotten was way off the mark. I think someone yelled something completely random back, because it sounded something like, "use a condom". I dunno.

If I see someone with an NS sticker on their shit, I'll just ski near them and yell out "Hello!" and things go down from there.

Just because you are on NS doesn't mean you are a good park skier- I suck at park, a lot, because I ski big mountain whenever I can, and only ever go in the park when everything else sucks. I've met quite a few rad skiers with the NS shoutout, but I've met so many more just by chatting people up on the bootpacks, the lift, the liftline before the hill opens, and just checking out lines.

Gnarly skiers are always happy to tell you how the landing looks if they aren't too far away.

I think people on ns who arnt very good (like me) think that everyone else on ns are pro but there not... I met a guy with a ns sticker who was 50-50ing the ride on box lol

most of the time I approach people at the hill with NS stickers they are always like "ohh.. I don't really go on much" or "I don't have a username" or "I forgot my username". Sometimes I say "How do you get to Chad's gap from the bottom of Alta?" and they just give me a puzzled look. That has happened probably 20 times. Though I did get "ski patrol blew it up" one time, which I was stoked about.

i think there are alot of NSers who only come on every once in a while to get the major news from the community and dont go on the forums and whatnot. i used to be one of them up until one time i was bored so i went and checked out the forums, realized that it was sick and made a new account. and ya i've been hooked ever since lol

haha I know what your're getting at but I have to admit, I'm the same way. When ever I see someone with NS gear I'm like wooah there, this guy's got to be pretty good, I better act like I'm good now. However, I'm always nice to those worse than me (a small skiing demographic) so I don't mind chillin with hardened NS pro's cuz I figure karma will come around

i have stickers but i don't put them on anything. i don't want kids asking me how to get to chads gap because then i'd have to laugh in ski away and that would make me feel bad.

when i first met you rowen, pretty sure i just yelled "ROOOOWWWWWEEEEENNNN!!!!!!!!" really loudly from a distance

i've tried the chads gap thing a couple times, but never got a legit response, just puzzled looks.

i like the CAAAA CAAAAWWW idea though.

ma'am*

But some chick pointed at my NS shirt and said yah newschoolers yesterday so when I asked her the callout she just gave me a stupid look and asking if I was going to Utah anytime soon....I was very let down and it was awkward as hell :(

My first day at killy this season I met some kid when I said somthing about his ns shirt. We just talked about peeing in girls butts and afterbanging great day.

doesn't really count but...

after i found NS i got all my ski buddys to join, prop 5 other guys, so now i ski with NS,

so my advice is get whoever you ski with on NS, promotes the site and gives you something to talk about.

I have had more then 5 people just recognize me and ask if I was gotamaBCshredder, last time was at Costco printing pics and I hadnt been on here in like 6 months.

I remember skiing at Mt Snow one day and you called me out for having an NS hoodie on circa 2001-2002.

I think ive met 70% of the NSers on my hill. I always introduce myself. Ive actually had people ride up on me out of nowhere and be like "hey its scott that asshole from the internet". Its a good feeling~

I tried for a few people at blue in PA on saturday but didn't really get any good responses. Saw lots of newschooler looking kids though.

one was probably me. i live here haha. shoulda said hi. i had a thall poc helmet and purple liquid swords. i also suck at park. if you see me gimme a shout out.

i think from now on if i suspect that somone is from NS im will yell..
"HEY! do you know how to get to chads ga..MY ANKLESS MY ANKELS ARE BROKEE"
and the proper response would be "OH MY BOSH!!! HIS WEED MUST BE LACEDD!"

there are soooo many park skiers at the springs. but i guess thats a good thing and mostly everyone gets along... not too much hate, which is suprising.

No don't ever even make eye contact with them let alone talk to him about this site. Leave it in cyberspace and make sure you don't take opportunities to make friends with people who enjoy the same thing as you, that would be really bad.

don't touch it.don't even look at it.don't look at me either.
that's right. you better ski on. i'll hit an NSer in public!

This! ... or you can 180 in the lift line and scream "MY ANKLES ARE BROKEN". That works for me.

Since I'm always wearing Vail Resorts uni which makes me look like a Smurf Clone, NSers pretty much ignore me even though I have stickers on my helmet. There was a thread trying to get an NS gang sign going which was awesome, but nothing ever happened with it. Maybe just something basic or hand shake. Username tatoo'd on your forehead would work. It would be cool if there was a designated NS hello.

me- Yo dude whats your ns name?

kid with 90 NS stickers on his helmet- *my what name*

me- facepalm, newschoolers.com check it out
