Say hi to fellow NS members?

When you guys see someone rocking a NS T-shirt or sticker or whatever... Do you identify yourself as being part of the club?

Sometimes a park rat with NS tags will be in the lift line infront of me, and I always decide it'd be too random?

Just curious. Maybe I'll start asking them if they know how to get to chads GAp from the bottom of Alta...

everyone at my mountain has NS stickers on their helmet or skis. ive never approached anyone. i rock my NS 3-D shirt all the time with my username printed on the lower back. sometimes you just get the look from some people.

Yeah, that's what I always want to ask, and then I realize they would want to ski with me, and I'd be embarrassed because I assume every NS member is really good.I'm not very good at park.Like, at all.

Yea, ns riders at my hill are rare though... They flow over from avila when it's too packed or icey...

We should establish a bird call or something

I just how do you get to chads from the bottom of alta them. I did it today and some kid with a huge NS sticker gave me a weird look and said I don't know, I nearly cried.

haha me and kip (caveman) yell it at each other all the time when we run into each other.

sometimes i use the chads gap thing, sometimes i just say yo dude whats your ns name

I talk to most of the people at my home mountain who are ''park rats''.

But at school, when I see somehow with skier or NS steeze, I talk to him and vice versa.

IMO, Ns is a kind of club, like a community.

Dude, think about how many kids are on NS. Now think about how many kids are on NS who are 15 or younger and aren't very good park skiers. Now think about how many kids there are who are older than that and aren't very good at skiing park. Hell, I suck at skiing park and I'm nearly 20.
Having an NS account doesn't make you a better park skier. For fuck sakes, it's an account on an internet forum and a sticker on skis or a helmet. Use your brain.

no one has ever given me a shoutout, but i'd be stoked to get 1, i'd prolly do a few runs with ya. skiing alone sucks.....

Everytime i go skiing they usually approach me before i even realize they are there. but when i see them first i go up and talk. i live in the midwest, and nsers are pretty rare.

well, im in ontario so i guess there are quite a few.
On another note, i hear the infamous OhMyBosh lives in toronto. i wish i knew him so that i barrage him with laced jokes in person. hahah but not really...

I have a NS sticker on my helmet and have had a couple of 'hey are you on NS' from people. In France and the UK, so I guess its rarer to see an NS sticker here.

I've met two NSers that work in Zumiez on two different occasions. They were both snowboarders but they either saw my boyfriends NS shirt or my lanyard. It's usually just a ... "hey dude is that an NS shirt/lanyard?" "what's your username?"

It always makes me feel like I'm part of a secret club or something haha.

not if it's some thugged out park rat because that kid will only want to ski park with me and generally he's being a loudmouth with a group of a bunch of other kids

i've called out like 5 kids already but none of them had accounts, they just lurk

I've seen a few kids at sunday river and always want to say hi, but i just assume that most of the kids just want to ski park and I only lap the park a few times a day. If anyone sees me ( I have a NS sticker on my First Bloods) and wants to take a few runs I'd be pumped, I usually have to ski alone : (

haha, you guys must have really sucky mountains. there's probably around 40 kids that are on NS and ski at 7 springs and pretty much everybody knows everyone and any night of the week there are people to ski with.

i dont think anyone from my "mountain" is on NS..I think theres only like 3 kids that ski the park on the reg

Everyone on NS at my home mountain I know personally, so there's no need to shout out a call or anything like that. Now that I moved to a new mountain with hundreds of kids who slay the fuck out of anything in their path, it doesn't matter to me if they're on NS or not. Just get to know the people in your skiing community and I'm sure you'll meet NSers on the way.

I've tried before, If anybody isn't skiing already say hi to me at blue. I have 5 orange stripes at the bottom of my poles. This is the latest I've ever left, had to do something car insurance related first.

Ive seen kids with NS stickers and asked how to get to chads from Alta and no one has ever said ski patrol blew it up. and the other times they just stared at me so I dont say anything anymore.

I'm not saying that being on here makes them good.I was more saying that I just assume that if someone skis enough park and makes an account on here and has stickers, that they would be better then me at park. And since they'd want to take laps with me (most likely) it would be embarrassing.

I won't say I'm good at park but as long as you're a nice dude I don't see how your skill level affects how anyone else skis. I don't really ever get unstoked to try new tricks if I'm skiing with someone worse than I am.

Yea skill level doesnt really matter too much. I dont really care if somebody sucks. As long as I dont have to wait for them all the time lol, that pisses me off. I'd rather ski with people who suck who have good personalities than douchebags who slay (which there are plenty of)

I suck cock at park, so I ALWAYS try to ski with people who slay, so I feel pressure to get better.

And skiing with someone who doesn't mind your chili-dog farts always helps.

I actually tried the other day, and the skier in question fully ignored me, maybe I don't have the right style for him and his crew? I tell myself it was headphones for personal comfort. I then proceeded to awkwardly follow his crew down the mountain (unintentionally) and stand in lift line near them wondering what I did wrong...

i was at mount snow a few weeks back. was riding the chair with a bunch of thirteen year olds with NS stickers on their shit. i tried to give them dapps but they just got wierded out. kids need to grow up and be more friendly

I saw a few in the park at steamboat, but i was training for skiercross, lapping the park doing straight airs with race skis, so i didn't say anything

some 6 odd years ago I was living in Fernie, while skiing in the park one day, there were some other skiers, I started skiing with them, introduced myself, they introduced themselves (with our real names), and somehow, one of the dudes knew who I was on NS based on my first name. it was freaky. But, at the same time, NS wasn't as big back than, and I'm a NS nerd, so I guess I was kind of a big deal? not really, but kind of...

"I'm a living joke" (quoted from Grandpa Simpson)

I'm always skiin by myself, cause my parents are too old and I don't get to go alot to begin with. Usually meet a few ppl while im there but no one on NS so far, though I know that there are some kids on the mtn who are on NS. App whatup!

if you have anything related to ns on you, get their attention and point to your sticker, shirt, hat etc

and yeah i'll ski with anyone. one day i noticed a kid with twintips (my hill is really small, the park isnt too good) i said hey and now we ski all the time

Seems like people sort of agonize over this...are NSers anti-social weirdos?
Just say "What's up? Saw your NS sticker, wanna take a lap?".

dude even if they are 10 times better than you are, it'll only help you learn new shit. they're not gonna care if you're not as good as they are cus they were in your position at one point in their life and they understand that you're just chillin, skiing and having a good time, which is exactly what theyre doing too

I just say hi to Ben whenever I see him on the hill lol and I yell at Kip too because he always calls me azz

But there are like random ass kids at my home mountain with an NS sticker and they just kill you a funny look when I ask them about it.

I'll try er out tomorrow, then.

I asked someone with a ns sticker what their username was a while ago, and they looked at me like I was handicapped. It discourAged me.

Seriously, I think we should start a handshake or something.

I've made a few friends at my home mountain through NS...shout outs and what not got it goin...now we slay it together...it may seem wierd to some people but i find it quite normal when i get a shout out...Chikendodo did the ol' chad's gap on me at uvm orientation this summeri loled all over the place

I've had mixed responses aswell. A couple times I met some chill kids other times they just sorta ignored me. I wanna try the ALTA thing out sometime. It's not like it used to be when twins first came to the scene anyone with a pair in the park was immediatly your buddy lol. Not that I know what that was like just what I've heard.
