so i saw them today, a guy who is sponsored by k2 came into the shop today with them to get mounted and they're pretty cool, a little to bling for my liking but cool for sure, they've elminated red on the ski and they are completely black and gold, the bullet studs are gold and they're just super ghetto

no they aren't being replaced by the fujitive, the fujitive is a park specific ski, the pe is great all mountain, also i forgot the base is way sick on the new one

im supposed to be getting some PEs in like a week because I proformed them at the store i work at. The rep said they will be released once all of the originals are sold from the shops. He told me none of the originals were left in the K2 factory or warehouse and I would get the new ones. I asked Schmies what was on them and he said I would get the originals. I hope I get the new ones so I stand out from the rest of the PE crowd, and if I do get them, I'll let you guys know

I talked to the K2 rep and he said the PE is more of a park ski than the Fijative. Plus the Fujative will be released to the public on December 1st. It will be more expensive that the PE.

 
the base on the new pe is sick, it has similar grafitti but it's black and then accented in red and there's bullet holes all over the place, and ^ are you sure? i'm pretty sure the fujitive is more park than the pe, they designed the fujitive to dominate on rails and landing and riding switch, doesn't sound like an all mountain ski to me

You know, maybe they are more park. it kinda makes sense. Cause my friend who has ridden them told me that you can nose press, ans land switch better than the PE. but he said the Fujative has more Switch Pop. he also tried them in the Pipe and said th PE was better for that. But he said the switch pop was insane on the fujative

 
no man your wrong. the fujative is all park. it is cheaper than the pe and both will be released mid season. the pe has not changed with the exception of graphics same with the pistol.

No offense dude^, but you saying that the Fujative will be cheaper than the PE is bullshit. The Fujative will be $375 STREET price, not retail. The K2 rep also said it will be more expensive. I think K2 considers the Fujative to be a better ski, so why the hell make it cheaper that the PE(K2's lowest priced twin-tip)? Does that make sense? No it doesn't

The Fujative is fatter and therefore, probably less park-specific than the PE.

just because are fatter doesn't nessicarly mean it more of a all mountain ski, a mid 80-88mm has a good wide platform, thats stable in the park, espically for switch.

But im not saying im right,

PersianDipShit. Quit talking. The Fujative is more of a park specific ski than the PE. It is also cheaper than the PE. Something like $279 or 299 street price compared to the new $379 street price of the PE. Cap skis, like the Fujative are chepaer to produce, so they will be priced cheaper. Also the Fujative is 85mm under foot compared to the 80mm underfoot of the PE.

 
^well it makes sense that it would be cheaper, think about it, you have a park specific ski right, if you're in the area of purchasing a park only ski and then obviously you'd have another pair for the rest of them mountain, so it makes sense if you take that into consideration, meaning you're gonna be beating hte shit out of that ski and chances are you're gonna go through 2 or 3 pairs a season, so if they build them like that they're making a ton of money and for that specialized rider it's not to expensive

the fujative is a pipe/park ski. It also has the sweetest flex pattern ever. Schmies deserves mad props for both skis though. They are the two best designed skis on the market

Given that cap skis would be less expensive, but there is no fucking way that you can make a quality for less than $299 for a current model. Either it will be a shit ski because of the materials, or because of the manufacturing process. And don't give me that bullshit about how chinese labor is cheaper, thats why it's so cheap. Yes, Chinese labor is cheap, but not so cheap that K2 will make a ski for 299. So if you think about it Billy, you are full of shit who takes it wup the ass from your dad.

I too work at a shop, am i hearing this correct? If i prodeal a pair of PE's i will receive the new PE's? If so thats fuckin sweet! And does anyone know what the shipment time is like? If i ordered them tomorrow would i get them in 2 weeks...maybe u know maybe u dont.

bought a pair of last years pe's from the same store that works at. they were supposed to be in befor the nov 7 weekend. then i get a call from the guy at the store saying they are doing a new line or something and he was wondering if i wanted the new model instead of the old for no extra charge. Tough decision of course. he said they wont be in till dec 15. but i'm sure you will all agree, it is worth the wait. yes, yes i am a lucky bastard

 
ya they're completely sold out at the factory of the older pe's, anyone who orders now gets the new ones, and it' only costs about 50 bucks u.s to build a pair of skis, so they would be making a lot of money of the fujitive especially if kids are gonna go through say 2 or 3 a season

yeah i just saw the new pe's and pistols at denvers ski and snowboard expo...but the new pe's are just plain sick...theyve got the gold-leaf inlay and just so public enemied out theyre bling, and when you put the all the different sizes next to eachother it makes one big graphic, the bases, as said before are black and red w/ bullet holes, public enemy is written vertically in this graffiti style writing, same construction(besides for a more durable topsheet) and dimensions, and yall have already got the price down so i dont need to say that, but theyre just bling w/ that gold

anyway, the price of all twin tips will be driven down next season. 1080s will no longer be $600 retail but more like $350 to compete with other companies, like K2. the PEs are the best priced twin on the market right now. maybe not the best ski, but props to K2. at least they're trying.

Give the guy a break. So he doesn't know what proform is. Thats why some people are on forums so they can understand whats going on in freeskiing and ski construction. Oh Persian...that comment about the Korean cars being sold in a BMW dealership got a laugh out of me since Hyundai offers a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty and BMW a standard 3 year 36,000 mile warrant (thats all so irrelevant I just thought I would say something tho).

I amglad you liked that destruction. But you see, the whole reason that Hyundai has a beter warranty that BMW is because that a Hyundai is more often to need repair than any other vehicle. K2 has a better warranty than Dynastar(whuch makes skis in Europe), but That doesn'r mean that Dynastars break all the time. remember when people would bitch about the original enemy not being durable, Well they were quickly covered by an excellent warranty. But thanks destruction for the support. BTw, many people don't know what proforming is.

Yeah thats what I figured...I ordered freeze but haven't gotten it yet so I have no idea what this seasons skis look like, I just go by what people tell me.
