Saw broke the record for most amount of movies in the shortest amount of time.

one a year since 2004 the 4th is coming out at the end of this month.

how many Saws will there be? there will be at least be 6. (5 and 6 are being written right now. and some producers, and the director, are already signed on for 5 sequels)

that's pretty bad. the first one was just plain weird and all of them preceding i have heard just plain suck (i stopped watching after the 1st one). they're just feeding off of halloween.

the movies are brilliantly put together with all the twists throughout the movies, but i agree, enough is enough

Saw may seem " gay " to all of you. And I would say that if i had only seen all or one of them only a single time... if you accually watch and understand everything it truly is an amazing series of films.sorry to be annoying but anyone who says Saw is stupid ... well.... you must not have ever really taken the time to really watch it. Not that you have too, but you should.

It's just a some dumb franchise. They make enough money, and are cheap and easy enough to produce, so they will keep coming out until the cash cow stops making cash.

i totally agree....those movies are bananas man its not so much the torture its the twists and turns and crazy plot stuff...i know they wont win any academy awards but the goal is to 1. make money and more importantly for us 2. entertain.....they really do.

the first one was pretty good i thought, but they have continuously gotten worse and will probly do so.

yo, these movies are sick. if you dont like them, you probably just dont get them. They take like six individual stories and intertwine them, and everything's so brilliantly planned out. you gotta respect that.

so many things from saw 1-3 are twisted together, like in 3 it gives you hints to why things happened in 2 and 1 etc. it is really amazing, if you take the time to watch them a few times its insane. i love the movies, although they are kinda play i don't care, i love em.

ive always thought they looked shitty, but i just watched saw and was pleasantly surprised. For a horror film it was incredibly smart and complex. I definitely wanna look into the sequels.

One was sweet. Two was...ok. Three sucked...it is just going to keep going down. they should have just left it at one.

Well if no one watched them they wouldn't continue the series. So it doesn't matter how much you think it sucks, if they continue to sell then they will continue to produce.

as a film major, i personally think they dwell far too much on emotion than anything else... which is why horror movies are ussually obsolete in the world of 'well made films'

Saw has some good production quality... INCREDIBLE makeup... and the lighting is so legit... (all of which is what you'd expect from the money thats actually going into something like saw)

but my god... whoever writes that shit is seriously fucked up in the head. We all love it... but holy crap who comes UP WITH THIS STUFF...

do they go to Manson and ask him what his dream was the night before or something? jeezus christ.

most of you guys are saying that they progressively get worst. yet they keep on making money. the second one made much more money than the first and the third made alot more money than the 3rd.

as far as the people writing it being sick. If you ever were part of a writing team or saw writers at work it really doesnt take sick individuals to make scenes like that. it evolves into what it is.

each - is a new person

-one person probably says lets have a girl in a chair and a blade is going to cut her head off after x amount of time.

-another guy says hey how about it doesnt cut her at her neck. everyone has seen that. its not original and people are decensitized. how about somewhere else like only part of her head gets cut off.

-well you would need a head brace to keep her head still while the b lade cuts through her

-how about if the head gear does the cutting.

-a blade would be too big on the side. how about those huge braces and at the end it snaps open and tears her head apart

-yeah good idea. and then she has to look through a tub of pig intestines to get the key that will take it off.

-no how about she has to cut through a dead guys intestine to get the key.

-brilliant idea. and you know what would freak everyone out even more? if the dead guy... wasnt.

-bam, theres the scene.

I know that the trap at the start of the second movie where the guy needed to get the key from behind his eye to take off that bear trap thing on his head. the crew had an idea to make his eye plop onto the floor a split second before the trap slammed onto his head.

i like how the old guy knows EXACTLY what will happen, and then plans out elaborate events accordingly.

come on, noone could predict how shit would go down like that guy, which to me, takes a lot of the realism out of the movies.

what i dont understand is who will be the killer at the end of the 3 the old guy and the apprentice chick die . there isnt anyone else able to come up with the games.

awesome movies anyways all 3 of them

i like the movies to some extent because it is full of twists and is very creatively written but in a broader sense they all have the same basic plot line and much of the movie is pure blood and guts entertainment

that is the all time most fucked up series of movies how do people even watch that its not even like good writing its just fucked up thoughts that nobody wants to think about let alone watch

ok. so I was looking at the poster and knowing how there are all these twists and suprises in the Saw series I thought that maybe I know who the killer is. Amanda who starts out as a victim becomes the killer's aprentice. and apparently in this movie we find out more about Jigsaw's wife. so she could be the killer.

but look at the poster. I only see one heel. and since the first time I saw this poster I thought that it was a guy. what if... someone... who might not have a foot.... might need something to make his non-footed leg the same length as the leg where he still has a foot. what if the movie never explained what happened to him. he might have died. he might have lived.

would you consider it a twist if he apeared in the movie.

of course im just making this up I have no basis for this. in fact I didnt even see any of the movies. I cant deal with gory movies and screams. but I did readparts of the script and a couple recaps of the movies.
