It's unanimously agreed upon that Saudi culture can eat shit. It's a shithole country and women shouldn't even aspire to compete there anyway because it's a dump. It's a perfect comparison, if you think the US Dollar is a more ethical currency than Saudi Money then I genuinely don't know what to say to you. My whole point was that there is no "morally superior" currency to be paid in, every single global currency is backed by war and exploitation, the US economy especially is reliant on funding proxy wars with other global superpowers. Both countries are actively funding wars right now, this second, not accepting "blood money" includes US Dollars.

This has a strange taste in a sense that freeskiing used to rise from a wish to set itself appart from the "strict rules" of the ski world of FIS and comps. Apparently some of freeskiing's biggest names do not have any problem competing in a country that have far more restrictive rules than the sport they say they set appart from.

Moreover, we used to see Henrik not compete in an X-Games course because he was not happy with the judging or the course of I remember correctly, but apparently that does not hold him from riding a big air in a country that :

- doesn't respect human rights

- literally shits on women

- doesn't even have snow

All of this is so lame.

So many of this skiers are barking "we are G's" "fuck FIS" and so on while actually doing whatever for big money.

what's the next step ? Riding Israel or North Korea maybe ?

This is such a dumb comparison. For example, Russia's constitution guarantees equal rights for women while Saudi Arabia only recently allowed women to drive. Russia hadn't invaded Crimea at the time of the olympics. I'm not going to bat for Russia here but come on.
