SAT's

i only have to take ACT's, but my friend is taking sat tomorrow and his mom has made him study for like the last month, i feel bad
 
2020 on the new ones and 32 on the acts but i didnt take the writting section on those, so ive gotta do it over. fuck.
 
i got a 2140 on the new ones. then i got rejected at princeton. then a black kid at my school got a 2010 on the new ones. then he got into princeton. I HATE AFFIRMATIVE ACTION
 
I just got back from them myself, Id have the say the hardest part was sitting still and staying focused for 5 hours.
 
I took the SATs today and I think i got a perfect score in Math.

But some advice dont drink 3 red bulls during a break if u feel tired. Halfway through the next section I was twitching and I broke 4 pencils in like 5 minutes.
 
i just tok em but its funy causer last night i couldnt sleep so i smoked a bowl at like 1 then i get to sleep at like 3 and then i wake up at 630 to take the sat and i think i did pretty good especially considering how late i was up
 
to go to sleep last night i drank 3 times the recommended amount of cough syrup (wit DXM) and I slept like a baby, but I had a weird dream about driving to school on a rolly chair. It was fucked up.
 
Does anyone care to give an approximative grade equivalent for A, B or Cs (etc) or out of 100? I never quite understood the concept of a grade in the thousands.

i.e 2010 = B+ or 86%
 
the sat is out of 2400, so a 2000 is like a 83% a 2200 is a 91%

i mean its pretty standard mathematics, you can figure it out
 
but its a little different than a normal test in that you lose points if you answer a question wrong, so if you dont answer any questions you get like a 400 or something, so its kinda tricky, i guess the percent thing doest really apply too well
 
got a 30 on the ACT earlier this year (sophmore year) hopefully ill get around a 32 come crunch time, took a practice SAT a week or so ago waiting for the results, anyone taken any of the Bio, Chem, or USHistory SAT II ?
 
i have to take the fucking act next weekend too, which, by the way is out of 36, im pissed 2 standardized tests in a week
 
one really smart kid at my school, he got perfect score on SATs as a sophmore and now as a junior he got accepted to MIT and is skipping senior year to go there
 
620 on bio... not bad since the night before my older bro thought it would be funny to get me drunk for the first time
 
That's only an 130 point difference, meaning that the black kid didn't do too bad. Also, colleges don't only look at SATs scores. In fact, at many schools, SATs are a minor part of admissions. So, the black kid could be amazing in academics or do lots of extracurriculars.
 
this kid i no is taking the SATs until her gets an 800 in math, he thinks its the only way he could get into MIT. So far hes got like a 740 and 780 but no 800
 
except that sports teams, community service, outside interests etc are the same everywhere, as well as test scores. teh on ly part thats not is academics, and colleges know how easily or hard certain schools grade if theyve accepted someone from that school before.
 
yeah i remember taking it last year... first time on SAT i got 1950 and a 30 on the ACT. then my parents made me take it again this year so i took it high but then i cancelled the scored cuz they were definetly shitty, my essay was about my pregame session. bad idea but its okay cuz im in college now.
 
my girlfriend took them today....wlle wsa signed up to but dosent have her drivers license yet so she couldnt.....birth cerfiticate didnt work like it had in the past....shes mad smart too.
 
i was thinking abut taking it high, but i would be worried about letting the scores going through
 
i took it yesterday, after having 25 minutes of sleep................

hahahaha shit

i cant wait to get my scores....
