I would definitely take it at least twice. My score improved almost 150 points the second time around.

Fucking math fucked me over.

I was so drunk the night before SATs, woke up still drunk and took them. I did fairly well on the writing and reading but the math blew. I don't remember each sections specific score but I ended up getting a 1780.

Plus, writing doesn't really count for anything, that being said, I wrote my essay about Obama (this is when he was running) and each line started with a word that spelt out OBAMA like this

Took it twice...first time got a 1690. Took it again thinking I'd do better cause I was in school again and not during the summer, exactly mirrored my score of 1690 again. I'm done with the sat. Hope my act is better

I scored in the 56th percentile on the GRE... scores don't really matter on GRE, it's where you rank. I thought that was pretty decent considering it's students who plan to go into grad school.

Scored in the 98th percentile for students going into calculus on that US standardized math test you take in 11th grade.

Got 100% on that test you take in 8th grade.

SAT though.... 1220 back when it was out of 1600. I can only ever finish half of the sections. I read at a snails pace. Yeah Dyslexia! Can't imagine what I would have received on writing... thank god I didn't have to do that.

First off, 950? Second, my brother is going to Boulder and he got a 2230, and it was one of the toughest schools he got in to. That being said SATs are not that important
