so i just got my SAT scores back, and I dont know if they're good. I live in michigan where noone really takes the SAT so ive never heard what scores were considered good. what are considered good scores for all the sections and overall?

anything over 600 in each section I consider good

anything between 500-600 I consider average

less than 500 I consider bad

Just look up what colleges you wanna go to, and if you are the same or higher, then you are good. Where I go to school, SAT wasn't even that important if you had a good high school gpa. It was 1200 and 90 gpa, so if you had a 1100, then they said you needed a 92 gpa. and if you had a 1400 all you needed was a 85 gpa.....so check your colleges

1690 i think. Taking them again though. I feel like anything over 1500 will get you in most places with good grades. but that is a huge generalization.

Most schools only go on the 1600 scale, they only include the math and reading, not writing, so on that scale, most schools want over a 1100, unless it is a very competitive school.

i got a 2010 which is a respectable number for most colleges...id say you want to have gotten atleast a 1850 to have a good shot at competing for spots based on SAT's...anything lower than that isnt really that good

i know a kid that got an 800, not even kidding, and no, hes not retarded, he has a gpa of 3.5 (5.0 scale)
you get 200 pts for writing ur name correctly too

Actually I refer to most schools in the United States. I applied to 3 schools in NY, all like that, I applied to a school in Florida, like that, and a school in Virginia, also like that. If you go on collegeboard and look up any college in the United States, chances are they only care about the two parts, math and critical reading. This is due to the biased grading done with the writing section.

You get 200 for each section for writing your name, so really.....your friend must have really messed up

They dont count the essay component of the writing section, the two multiple choice areas are still factored in.

i got an 800 on math and my gpa was only 2.98 (4.0 scale) and a 3.19 on a 4.5 scale.... theyre completely unrelated...

3.9 GPA all throughout private highschool
1420 out of 2400 on SAT... yeah I had a concussion the day before.
35 out of 36 on ACT

Reading: 800

Writing: 600

Math: 630

I'm retaking it for the math and writing. I had been of school puking for a week when I took them, and was sick that morning so I wasn't really focused on the test when I was taking it.

1930 on the SAT before the march one

800 chem

690 math 2

590 american history

31 ACT

32 superscored

35 math

34 grammer

28 reading

31 science

2090 with a 790 on math so damn close to that prefect but no cigar. I got a 1570 on 7th grade though ahahah

ACT>SAT. Bitch u should know that come on. Take the damn test over again. U can still get a better score. Take the Act. it is easier

I'm taking the SAT's this spring. A kid in my school (he's a well known genius) got a perfect score on the whole thing. Anyone done that before?

my penis is a solid 7 inches long and im pretty good looking, just single because im very picky. girls are bitches who don't see the good in me any way. she doesn't deserve me. i'm also extremely intelligent, i just don't apply myself because and have a very rare disorder that sets me back. i love video games but anyone who plays less than me is a noob and anyone who plays more than me is a nerd. im skinny because i have a high metabolism (or fat because i was born big boned but still very muscular under the flab), and i'm destined for success because i have a whole lot of potential. i just choose to wait until the perfect opportunity presents itself.

i.e, my name is _______ and i'm full of shit.

same! damn i felt good after that test. besides the fact that i fucking hate taking 5 hour tests. 33 is real good in the hood, the ACT is more comprehensive anyways. i got mad at the science section though, its not really science at all. 2170 is nothing special where i'm trying to go. good enough, but still nothing special.

it really doesn't. i mean, perfect scores yeah you're smart, but i've seen a number of intelligent people go down in flames on these goddamn exams. it's half knowing how to take a test, which i for one suck at.
