Sarah Palins motorcade blocked in CO

as for your last paragraph....what the fuck are you even talking about? im going to assume you are high and ignore that part.

but im really not an asshole, im a nice guy...i just think it is stupid to tell someone that they shouldnt support someone because of ONE policy that their party supports. i just said, im a republican and i fully support abortion/pro-choice.

and maybe she didnt answer because it didnt warrant a response. because it was a stupid point.

those kids were fags, they should have just plowed through them.
i kinda like palin, she seems like one of the only politicians that i could actually like as a person, like she seems like a normal woman, while pretty much everyone else seems like once they are off camera and away from citizens they would be total chodes.
i dont know if she would be good for the country, and really i dont care about who the vice president is. but if anything i think it would be good to have a REAL person being the vice president. all these politicians seem to be so clueless about actual citizens.

I think everyone has completely missed nick's point.

Protesting is cool AS LONG AS you aren't harming others.

Why didn't those kids just stand on the sidewalk while her motorcade went by? That would be the civil and mature thing to do. By standing in front of it they may have made the news, but really all that did was make them look stupid. People should be a little more respectful.

After reading a pretty disturbing post earlier (they always do seem to crop up), I feel like pointing out that protesting enjoys an important role in the history of the United States and many other countries in fuelling political progress, and no one should be told to keep their mouth shut about something that matters to them, provided the message isn't one of hate. That exercise of political speech by the people, not their representatives but the people themselves, is among the most patriotic activities one can engage in. In a representative, pseudo-democratic polyarchy like the ones passed off as fair systems of government in the western world (as opposed to the unabashedly unfair ones elsewhere), it's rare enough to hear from the people directly as it is. Don't discourage them.

you're the moron. don't protest someone because you don't agree with their political views? is there really any other reason to protest? ultimately, everything worth protesting boils down to politics- be it a union strike, oil drilling, or Sarah Palin being a stupid fucking cunt. when you actually look at what you're saying, your argument makes no sense at all. if someone strongly disagrees with Sarah Palin's political agenda, they should and do have every right to protest. the very thing you're arguing against was the basis for the First Amendment.

she seems stupid as shit, what the fuck are you talking about? just because you'd fuck her in the ass DOESN'T mean she's a "normal woman". and Bristol... when she's 18, i'd totally fuck her in the ass, too.

come on guys, no one is going to take the high road out of this?

i agree with Nicholas, they were being douche bags, but at the same time, if they want to protest GO FOR IT! (so now i agree with drew) i have been at some protests in my time and they are GREAT, but blocking cars, smashing windows, hurting people, ect. like most crazies protests, it only hurts your cause.... IMO

wouldnt it be interesting to find out if these same people have ever been a part of an anti war/ anti violence protest? oooooooooo the irony.

"you stay classy San diego"

Wait...so everyone should just roll over and let politicans do whatever they want?

I thought there was something in your constitution regarding this...I just cant seem to put my finger on it though...

Palin must be having an effect on him....people must get dumber by proxy when they are around her for too long...lol

Threadjack:

She most likely wasnt in a limo, motorcades usually consist of like 30 of the same vehicles, usually black GM SUVs, or white vans. so people will never know which one the person of interest is inside. A limo would stick out far too much.

I learned alot when the RNC was in town haha

i have been at some protests in my time and they are GREAT, but

blocking cars, smashing windows, hurting people, ect. like most crazies

protests, it only hurts your cause.... IMO

notice how i worded it? "most crazies" implying that if you are smashing window's breaking shit, In my mind you have a bit of a "crazie" in you.

im not saying all protesters are crazy, and i am not saying that all protesters break shit. i am saying that crazy protesters break stuff and cause problems, like these people did. IMO.

i was not saying "most protesters", rather "most crazy" protesters

but that is your opinion drew.... and in my opinion, and i think Nicholas's opinion? they just come off as nuts, "crazies" if you will....

IMO you can do allot more to further your cause by being civil and having a well thought out argument, because when you average american turns on the TV and see's these "crazies" doing this shit, i bet their minds instantly go... "who are these fuck heads"?

again, you stay class America.

ok breaking shit, not cool. but disruptive.... isnt that kind of the point of protests? hahahahaha. if you dont disrupt anything how are you supposed to get your point across

how far do you let disruptive go though? i was at Bush's speech here in MN in 2004. sure there were "disruptive" protests, but if they would have had their way bush would not have even been in the building..... my beef is when the protesters do crazy shit like break window's burn cars, hurt people, destroy property.

sorta like critical mass(ever heard of them?) if i got stopped by a bunch of them i would laugh my ass off, then i would REV my engine and blow smog in their face.... yeah guys, lets block traffic so people set in their cars with them running emitting more CO2, yeah, great plan. geniuses...

I hope you're not talking about the approval of the new Bolivian constitution... Fuck Evo Morales and everything he stands for. He's nothing but Chavez's sidekick, the robin to Chavez's batman. Leading the way for South America into the glorious 2nd wave of the pseudo-socialist/marxist abyss. If oil remains for long enough at these prices, Chavez will be bankrupt and hopefully we can finally rid the planet of that piece of shit. I don' think there is any international leader that I hate more than that guy.

Mainstream TV networks and news agencies are more biased then an episode of jerry springer. If you guys take everything that CNN, FOX, MSNBC, etc report at face value, you a fucking idiot.

Good thing people learn from the past...not!

this is an example of how a "peaceful" protest can go. the point was made... without a bunch of "fuck bush, ect type protesters.

when does disruptive, go to violent, and "crazy"?

o btw wernt protesters allowed closer to the X over the Pepsi center in denver?

Most protesters get 'crazy' because they have the police after them denying their right to protest in the first place. I realize this isnt the case all the time but you need to see the other side of the argument here. Who potrays them as crazy? Are they really crazy or are they being protrayed as crazy to keep the masses subdued?

Governments dont want to deal with the masses...look how that shit went for then during the 1960s...

Palin is going to have almost no influence on anything. She's the stupid vice president and even though McCain is old the chances of him dying in the next 4 years is incredibly slim. Obama has a better chance of dying in office because of all the crazy white supremacists, It only takes one radical person. Targeting palin is stupid and only done because she is easier than McCain. I don't even really ssuppport McCain but i'm sick people going after Palin, especially women since she's the feminist ideal.

Feminist ideal? i think not. feminists hate her. shes pro life and couldnt give to shits about womens rights

That's not really giving them a lot of credit, is it? Do you really expect them to support any woman, regardless of the implications of his platform for women's rights generally? Because women's rights are what feminists are supposedly behind.

It's not so much an issue of the media being biased towards depicting protests as having been violent, it's more that the media is incredibly sensationalist. A story about how a bunch of people sat around in a park in protest just isn't as eye-catching as broken windows and tear gas.

What I'm saying is feminists should cut the bullshit about the advancement of all women. Here's a woman who has the opportunity to be VP, a position never attained by any woman, yet they hate her. Wouldn't that actually be advancing equality between the sexes? hmmm

This is from Wikipedia: Feminism is a discourse that involves various movements, theories, and philosophies which are concerned with the issue of gender difference, advocate equality for women, and campaign for women's rights and interests.

I find it amusing that feminists believe that all women should think like they do.

Its similar to the way that the NAACP wanted a black justice in the Supreme Court. However, Clarence Thomas wasn't quite black enough it seems. Its kind of Orwellian, "All African-Americans are black, but some are blacker than others."

http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9D0CEFD81438F93AA3575BC0A967958260

In my opinion these groups should just cut the bullshit, that is all. Don't feed me bullshit rhetoric about "advancing" anyone. They should just be recognized as the highly partisan groups that they are, feminists do not represent all women, just like the NAACP does not represent all blacks. Just because a woman is not a feminist, or a black man disagrees with the NAACP, that does not make them inferior people.

If you'd like to enlighten me on why my argument does not make sense, go for it.

.... because they dont want a woman in power who stands for nothing they stand for... why is that so difficult to understand.

i can't bring myself to give you a long drawn out explanation mostly on the basis that you're retarded.

the best i can do is tell you, if you're whole agenda is to reduce the stigma that particular properties of an individual are superficial, how the hell can you justify jumping on the support bandwagon solely on the basis of those superficial qualities.

here's a skiing example, if you had to support someone to win the KOS competition, do you base it on the guy who's skiing with the same equipment you do OR do you give your support to the person that exempilifies what you think style is all about.

women that don't agree with her shouldn't vote for her but it's not dong any good for the "feminist cause" to constantly attack a women who is running for vice president.

Bingo.

People need to realize that you're not automatically a feminist if you a female and its possible for men to have feminist perspectives that are stronger then some women.

hey drew i'm glad you took the time to write that out, i hope it's not in vain.

Salcedo, i really hope you take the time to read it and understand it perhaps even absorb enough so you can explain it to another ignorant individual.
