On Friday I was up training in the pipe. It was about the 5th time through and I went for a unnatural 540. I landed the five a little off balance, hit a snow snake and somersaulted directly to my back and almost neck. Luckily my coach was right behind me and called ski patrol. (Tanner Hall and a filming crew he was with also helped although I don’t remember it..) I was fully conscious and they took me down in the ambulance. I woke up and they took me into surgery the next day. They fused my T12 to T11 vertebrae. Everything was good until my stomach stopped working. My colon was filled with so much air that it was pushing against my rib cage and they took me into another procedure where they injected about a gallon of blue dye into my intestine and if it didn’t work they were going to take me into another surgery. Luckily that procedure worked and everything is a lot better. I am finally home after 4 LONG days in the trauma center. Moral of this story… Take nothing for granted. Also keep Sarah Burke in your thoughts and prayers. She is now in a coma in critical condition after halfpipe training today. EVERYONE BE CAREFUL OUT THERE.

Has rory and Sarah's mom made it out there. I put in a word with my dad (in the industry) and we yielded nothing. Hopefully we can help Bushfield and Sarah's mom out there soon. Anyone else have some better hookups in the industry than we do? Vibes to Sarah and family.

fuck man. I was in that ICU and Nuero rehab center at the U a bit over a year ago... all the vibes from friends and family is what got me through. ever since the 1080/hottub scene in Berman's first Level1 flick Balance, I've been awestruck by Sarah's demeanor, beauty and talent. Wishing you, Rory and your family a full and speedy recovery Sarah.
