i herd a lot of people say that sarah burke is only a pro because of the fact that she is a girl and a lot of guys that arnt pro can do the same stuff... wat do u guys think?

well of course the level guys are at isn't the same as girls. thats a fact. you can't compare the two. she is good. she throws down. anybody who says different hasn't seen her in action

 
well of course the girl pro's are no where neer as good as the guys, havent you ever watched a ski movie? or skied with the opposite sex? so the best girls get sponcered, its not like they are just not ever going to sponcer a girl just because all the guys are better.

the bottom line of this whole discussion is that sarah pretty much began the women's freeski movement and she still holds it down for the women. there are still more women than men in the world...therefor she is influencing the majority. she is also one of the coolest & kindest girls i've ever had the pleasure of being around. she deserves the credit and whatever money she gets.

sarah burke is definitly an amazing skiier, but not nearly as good as alot of men, it is definitly also important to note her importance in starting the female freeskiing movement. She probably gets alot more attention cause of her looks. I think she was the first woman to land a flair in the pipe and a nine. I just wish she skiied outside of the park.

there is no doubt that sarah is insane but i agree with the question of why aren't girls as good as guys? i see no real reason. sure girls are not built the same way etc, but you can look at other sports that are still male dominant and the women are throwing down harder than the women of skiing. i supposed it's a matter of the spectrum of female skiers and the fact that there are so few of us, i hope it's just a matter of evolution and eventually women will be skiing just as well as the guys.
