Sara Spins Goes Hard

Hey NS!

Just wanted to share this article with you guys, http://www.usatodayeducate.com/staging/index.php/campus-beat/u-of-cincinnati-student-determined-to-chase-down-a-cure-for-her-disease. Last fall, we were super encouraged by her story, and threw together a rail jam to help raise awareness and support, and now she's getting national coverage! Sara has a neurological disease called myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME), that confined her to a wheel chair and kept her from being able to be mobile around the University of Cincinnati's hilly campus. Her campaign has helped her, as well as other students obtain the appropriate motorized wheelchair's to get around campus with ease. This year, we will be continuing our partnership with them to continue raising support and awareness with a bigger and better rail jam, and are more than stoked! This inter, she really wants to get on the slopes with an adaptive sports program, so be on the lookout for more updates on that! Check out their website http://saraspins.org/ or facebook https://www.facebook.com/SaraSpinsOnline for more info!

Peace!

This is awesome, if you could post or PM me when the next rail jam is going to be I can try to get a big group together from OSU to come down

Also I know a few people in the adaptive sports community if you guys need any help with getting her skiing. (Here in Ohio and out in Utah)

Mad River Mountain and Snowtrails, Ohio use TAASC

Snowbasin, UT (I worked with the couple that runs it, and have even trained a bit with the sledskis)

And it's definitely possible to do some cool things with the sled skis. Here's a photo from out in Utah where they were taking me off jumps.

Thanks for the info! We will definitely pass that along to her. And we will definitely be letting everyone know when our rail jam is going down. If you want, like us on facebook for updates on that. It'll be around mid October, early November.

thanks for the support!
