i dont think k2 owns volkl they like make there skis in the same factory or something its something really complicated that they have going on youd have to ask schmies about it

Sarah was one of the most sought after talents in skiing last year. She took a long time sampling different companies. Why did she end up with Volkl?

MC: I think a lot of it was her. She wanted to go some place where she wouldn’t be one of many. She’s our only park and pipe girl –we really don’t need anybody else. It’s pretty much Sarah’s show and that might have been enticing. We didn’t push, we let her work it out. She was so busy, we started talking three months before we got anything in writing. It was a long process.

I thnk volkls are still made in europe. I don't think they're owned by K2

 
k2 did buy out volkl along with marker, and i believe iannick b. is also on volkl

K2 bought.

Volkl, Marker and Technica North America in a deal last year the skis are still made in the individual factories its just an ownership change like the salomon thing they still operate relatively in the same manner money just goes somewhere else at the end.

 
They don't own Technica. K2 Inc. is a large umbrella of company's. So when you think of K2 Skis, yeah its K2 but in the larger picture K2 has a diverse portfolio of comany's that it owns. Like baseball bats, paintball, to the bobbleheads, it just makes the numbers meet at and share holders happy.

 
I think she used to be sponsored by Volkl. Now I saw her in the Xgames with Roxy Skis. I went to the Roxy Site, theres a picture of her and Torah Bright with medals from the X Games. But I dunno.

If you didnt notice, much of the posts are from 2005, and possibly before roxy and quicksilver even owned rossi-dynastar..
