Sandbox Classic 2.0

Hey ns,

Wondering what people think of the Sandbox Classic 2.0? I'm in the market for a new helmet and it seems pretty attractive for the price. Old threads seem to hate on them pretty bad for a number of reasons, but I'm unsure if this is still the case with the 2.0. I am willing to consider a Maze MIPS if the 2.0 is bottom of the line, but obviously I'm not overly keen because of the price difference of about $60 au. I would be getting either from my local to support the cause, so I'm not interested in considering other retailers.

Depends on what look you prefer. Obviously it’s better to have MIPS but if you don’t need it you can get the regular maze for cheaper
 
No real explanation for it but the sandbox will look weird skiing.

I think a Giro saved my life biking so I've always gone with Giro since I decide to wear a lid skiing. Friends and I got the ledge for a good price with the MIPS. If you have a very big head Smith makes a bigger size than Giro. Smith is good and looks just as good but it's more expensive for the same quality as Giro.
 
Sweet, i'll likely opt for the safer brands then. Would much prefer avoiding serious injury over anything
 
I got a sandbox legend, two years ago now and it's done me really well, probably saver me from a good few concusions. I don't know if all their helmets are made the same way but I'd recommend
