Sand skiing?

Has anyone ever tried sand skiing? I know I'd maybe need to buy actual sand skis. Is it fun? There is a place in my state that seems like it be fun to sand ski. Opinions please? Thanks!

I think it looks pretty fun, but i would not use my good skis.

It's pretty fun but make sure you have shit load of wax, without wax there is no way you can get momentum on the way down. I skied the dunes in pacific city Oregon and the dunes there were perfect for sand skiing.
