Sand Skiing

OK so most people have probably heard of sand boarding but has anyone tried sand skiing? A friend of mine was going to make some 'sand skis' but I never found out what happened. I guess it would work if you got a pair of old skis and put some wak on the bottom, think I may have seen it in some ski movie a few years ago? It would seriously wreck your skis so I you'd want to make sure they were a cheap and nasty pair.

it works but you need a special material for the bases. Its like the stuff on your countertops, its the only thing that deflects sand. Kinda like a ski base on snow.

yeah i've tried going down my friends backyard grass hill with no wax or anything, oh shit i ate it, it was hilarious

yeah, were trying it this summer at the sand dunes in michigan, but you go so slow, so all were gonna do is set up a rail and hit that for the day or whatever

here we've got such a sand hill it's called monte kaolino, there is a lift and also a kicker check the website www.scmk.org ...but it's in german...so have phun within it.....

Here ya go, how to make a sandboard. Just modify the directions for skis. My friend made a sandboard it worked damn well. Its fun, but you get sand in your eyes and mouth and shit.

well if u go to fast on the sand it will cause enough friction, pressure and heat to turn it into glass, and yes it will cut u, swear to god, happened to one of my friends once

yeah people do ski there, it says that it's the only sand ski hill with a lift in the entire world and it will hurt more than snow cause it's rougher than snow...

greez...
