Sand Dune Skiing

Have any of you ever shredded the dunes? I'm stuck in college just working my winter away and not getting as many days as I want in and wondering how the heck I can ski in the summer. I live near some dunes and saw the sick gopro dune skiing in Peru and was like shoot I need to do that this summer! I feel like the sand will just be so heavy and sucky.

I've done it. Definitely not the same but you'll still slide. It is more of a work out for your legs as it's so heavy, but it's not like you're sinking into either. Just don't take skis you're particularly fond of.

Ya that's what I was assuming but it still look so sick! For sure gonna take a piece of garbage pair out though hahah that's the plan! Can I ask where about you went?

Sick man yeah it's a pretty good time! There is a place here in Idaho called Bruneau Dunes State Park that worked great. The steeper the better.

I agree steeper is better I've skied on dunes before and if it's not steep enough it sucks but if it is it's pretty damn fun for summer skiing
