I'm thinking of maybe going to cal polytech for grad school and am wondering about the town/area. Can't imagine it's very close to skiing, but what is the town like in general? I've heard a lot of good things, but whatever input people have woud be cooool. Thanks

Ive only been there for a day while driving through cali, but i remember it was gorgeous.

I have a ton of friends who went there. It's a pretty legit place. The closest mountain is Mt High, I'm pretty sure. I have a feeling, but don't trust me, that it's a bit country up there. I don't know, but the people that I knew were a little bit country.

my homie from NS (chiefbigpaw) goes there and loves it...it's hella close to surfing and people are usually down to go to the mountains too for weekend trips.

Ive been there before, but I hardly remember anything. except that it was a legit place. The beach there was nice I think.
