anyways soul arists like james brown and the isley brothers have so many of their sounds sampled especially by class groups like eric b and rakim and a tribe called quest, de la soul and epmd. i would never be able to think of my favorite song that samples another beat or song. it would be impossible

I think he means more like recognisable songs sampled, but maybe I just don't know my soul music

I think a lot of rappers get criticized for sampling so much, but honestly, I think some of the new sampled songs are so damns sweet. And I love when stupid kids (mindless college girls) have no idea that the song is sampled, like its an original.
