Sample ProRes 444 Footage? DNxHD Transcoding.

Bit of a longshot on here, I think I might create an account on DVX for post this question.I have a client that wants me to transcode Apple ProRes 444 video from an Arri Alexia to a DNxHD mxf.

He is going to try to get me sample footage. If not, any ideas and if its possible to download them online? I've been searching online and I only found RED samples.

I've done quite a bit of research, however does anyone know if its possible to transcode the ProRes 444 to DNxHD on a "normal" computer with the correct software? Or would I need an extra hardware/computer system (digital rapids, blackmagic, etc) to preform this?

I've searching online and I'm seeing all sorts of answers, just wondering if anyone has ever had experience with this.

What NLE software are you running? If you are in Media Composer, you should be able to transcode to DNxHD on import.

I have MC5 and FCP 7.I did read something about that, however was not quite sure since I don't have any sample footage.

I did find some software called "AlexiCC" that will do it.

I believe mpeg streamclip could do that for you.

You are correct sir. I downloaded the codecs and it worked. However it only worked to a quicktime, not a mxf.

.mxf is a type of video file extension. Like saying a video is a .mov or .avi
