Sammy officially on apo

Kind of weird how Salomon lost or dropped arguably their two biggest riders. Also, I wonder where apo gets the financial backing to sign a big name like Sammy Carlson.
 
This is super weird. Never heard of this brand or a single other member of their team. Have I been living under a rock? And their widest ski is 104 underfoot? Doesn't seem ideal for Sammy. Also, wondering when they took those pics of Sammy on their skis, did they already have a photoshoot at bachelor this year?

Thats right! I am no longer riding for Salomon. I am Proud to Announce that I am riding for APO ski's!! We are building skis from the ground up!!

They have been a snowboard brand for 20 years, last year was their first line of skis, We have been working hard all fall on new shapes! Their ski designer is Amazing with over 20 years of experience, he shaped the Rossi Scratch back in the day and now we are working closely together making sure APO ski's are Legit.

Wait till you see the new Line up.

Salomon did really help him blow up though. Obviously if you sign with a big name like that, people are gonna notice your stuff.
 
I'm stoked for Sammy, that Freeskier article is a good read. It sounds like the company knows what they're doing in terms of production, and Sammy is going to have massive amounts of input into the company and the way they design skis. Along with everything else they're offering him, it sounds like a good move
 
seems like salomon doesn't give a shit about rider input..simon on that head video said he never had seen a ski factory before ha!
 
i was told you went through something like 30 pairs of suspects last season, i wonder how many of these will get you through the winter
 
the way they are paying for his projects and designs kinda reminds me of pollard and line, hopefully he is successful
 
the shitshow that will ensue from the kiddies clambering over the sammy pro model.. i want to sit and watch it.

but congrats to sammy. repping oregon hard and true. i hope this venture is good for you.

funny how he says "proud to announce im no longer with salomon..." rather than just "proud to announce i am now with apo"
